Thomas Cook is a British Institution. It will not go bust, no chance. Brexit is having its effect and TC will ride through it. £1 sp will be back.

1. Expanding the hotel business with 20 new hotels this year.
2. Its business as usual.
3. We have bids for the airline and are considering them all.
4. We are NOT going into administration.
5. We have a further £300m of funding (should we need it).
6. We are NOT going bust.

Everything else is just noise and press speculation. The press love a gloomy story.

If the company goes bust or into admin imagine the questions after the above 'quotes' from management.

No way is that happening. The airline will be sold and the business will grow again. The SP will head back up to £1 imo.

The amount of shares is unimportant, it was a message that the shares are going up.

you would have to be a little bit crazy to short this at the moment. Big recovery in progress plus so few shares in issue you could get very badly burned imo.

on 24th October when the accounting review rns appeared the sp dropped from £6 to £2 in one day.

Cannacord started selling at the £6 level (unless they were selling before that with a tip off.).

Then they sold down from 8% to 4% in December when the sp was in the £2 down to 67p range. It is a guess at what their average sale price was but I would stab at around £2 taking into account the sales at £6+.

So this makes me think even more that the big rises for the 2 days on the results rns and fca investigation being dropped was probably them loading up again. The problem is that they went down from 10% (16.7m) to 4% (4.8m) and can only have bagged a max of around 2m back at a lower price. Now at £2.40 it looked to me like it was being held down which enforces the idea of a large buy order being filled.

There is an interesting week ahead that is for sure.

I would imagine cannacord thought there would be a bad outcome from the review and possible FCA fines so started bailing out. If they can now see a 300 to 400% increase back to £10+ you would think they would be all over this.

Cannacord used to hold 10% but reduced down to 4 when the accounting review started. Now all is sorted they may be building a stake again at this lower price? Would be surprise me if that was why despite all the buys the sp did not rise yesterday, mms filling buy orders?

I would not be surprised to see a few holdings rns appear here. Only 16m shares in issue, so only 480k needed for 3%. Also with cannacord on 3.96% and Jamieson on 4.82 only a modest increase would trigger an rns..

I would think Bobby will pressure other directors to buy too which will also be rns’d. He wants the sp back towards £10 imo and will ensure good news flow.
