outnumbered the buys (should say sold)

After a week of steady share price rise, we seem to be heading towards the 40´s where we should be as we head for news that Bacton operations have completed (just over two weeks from now according to last RNS.
I have been following the daily volumes of share buys and sells on the ADVFN site; consistently the share bought have outnumbered the buys over at the end of the day, and even though the share price is moved up, the numbers don´t square up. eg. today, end of the day i see 325k buys and 102k sells?
I have put the question out before, any market experts out there that can explain why the buys and sells don´t match?

Small volumes today, but still more buys than sells (145k to 93k); so we should still have another positive day for the share price which is heading north!

Having put a date on first gas and a % of work to be accomplished in this time, I reckon it is just the last items to be ticked off the long list that we had to get there. They have been pretty good on dates so far, once they have committed to them. So just over 3 weeks left to uncork the champagne!
We can disect and debate the reasons for the delay, when they eventually come out and then decide the fate of the management team.

Anyone out there understands and can explain how the logged trades in the last 2 days can accumulate a diffrence in buys, less sales of close to a million shares? how do the market makers balance the books?

Market makers caught wrong footed maybe? a wall of blue and hardly any sellers. Still 4 fold buys to sells today. Share price up 2p before any sellers have shown up. Good result last 2 days. I reckon it still is cheap until 40p and then maybe consolidate until closer to first gas.

yes Peakview, the 22,500 is shown as a sell? now trades are 33 bid , 34 ask, share price should be up 1,0 and not 0.75. All very strange. 310,00 buys as to 40,000 sells.
At least now we have two positive days with buys far outnumbering sells.

Good to see the sentiment has switched to largely buying since the RNS! However i cannot for the life of me understand the lack of movement in the share price!! In two days of trading before the RNS the market makers moved the share price by almost 11% and with the same volume of shares yesterday and buys showing to be twice the amount of sales, we only moved up 2.36%?? Today buys seem to be almost 4 times sells and we are only up 0 .25P?? Do the buys and sells not have to match by the end of the day?

Ref. earlier post; just re-read. One day´s trade doesn´t make the trend towards 40p! But hopefully confidence restored and the trend will head us back up to 40p +

As predicted, the share price is heading back up to 40p again. The trading volume is back up again and buying seems to double sales today. Now we have a firm first gas date of one month from now.

As the next 4 weeks go by this (and the risk factor of achieving first gas) will diminish and we should head towards predicted share prices. These will be reviewed higher once we are at first gas.
Costs for phase I have gone up considerably, but i would imagine that the increase in gas prices more than compensate these. Finncap´s target value of 48p (22 november 2021) per share worked on an average gas prices of 80p per therm for 2022. The current gas forecast is 136p per therm in one year from now and the current price is 227.
Exploration and production of gas has risks, delays and operational hicups. We have had all of these! but the risks are going down and first gas will change the luck of this company!

Pressure on management and a rapidly plummeting shareprice finally has had its affect; an RNS with clear dates. Hopefully this will clear all doubts and instill confidence again. We should see the shareprice head towards 40p again. OK, not the first gas news we hoped for, but no unforeseen operational problems ! And from their record, they have been spot on, on their dates.
A couple of months delay in cash flow, but will be more than compensated by rising gas prices because of geopolictical tensions and gas shortages.
We are 3 weeks from first gas!

Hi guys - remember this is IOG. Just when everything looks like lost and sentiment is heading us Southward, then the rabbit gets pulled out of the hat!
As gas prices go through the roof on the verge of a war with Russia, we will get the long-awaited-RNS. Just to wrong foot everyone. A lot of activity in Elgood and Blythe and these were confirmed as ready...
As for the delay in Bacton from September to Date, that really needs explaining from management to justify their salaries!!

Yes, it has been stationary since yesterday at current position. Made over half of the jorney from Dundee, and has another day of towing to reach Southwark.
Maybe bad weather?

The rig is expected to re-mobilise to Southwark by the first week of December - TICK
Maybe they are awaiting on Bacton news to give us the long awaited news for first gas!! wishfull thinking?! It really can´t be that long now.
Corporate update 22 Nov. :
The key subsea, umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) and hook up and commissioning (HUC) scopes have now been completed in preparation for Blythe and Elgood first gas. These include connection of the Blythe 12" pipeline (PL4956) and Elgood 6" pipeline (PL4955) to the Blythe platform risers and leak testing and dewatering of both pipelines; fabrication and installation of the 24" valve skid at the Saturn Banks tie-in point; tie-in of the shoreward section (PL5079) of the 24" Saturn Banks pipeline section at Bacton; hook-up of the Blythe and Elgood wells and system commissioning. Use of a walk to work vessel has enabled longer shift durations and minimised the need for helicopter flights.
Successful leak testing and dewatering of the 24" pipeline and valve skid has now confirmed the integrity of the production system from the onshore Saturn Banks Reception Facilities (SBRF) at Bacton to the Blythe platform and the Elgood subsea well.
All offshore work completed ready to turn on valve and send gas to Bacton- TICK
Corporate update 22 Nov. :
Key items recently completed include installation of the new 24" emergency shutdown valve, pipeline spools and motorised valves, replacement of the gas metering streams and associated isolation valves, installation of new pressure control valves and pulling/terminating of all multi-core cables.
(So, what was left to do, TWO weeks ago, that stands between us and first gas: )
completion of intra-terminal pipework, testing of telecoms & control systems, installation of the emergency vent stack.

I am confident that father X-Mas will come early for IOG.

Diving Support Vessel Seven Pegasus is still at Blythe.
Market has not reacted badly to this; it is an operational blip. I would guess that all eyes are on first gas news! It would be nice to get updates from IOG on work in progress, given the importance of this event. I was hoping on an operational update with the spudding of Southwark.

Thanks GG and Sailor; i´ve been here for over 10 years and have no problem in waiting another month or two. I await an official update from IOG. But if we were to put bets, I reckon first gas before the end of this month. It seems to me that the work pending is not onerous enough to last 2 months and i cannot see why a 24 inch valve will take more than a few days to complete (let´s keep an eye out on the Seven Pegasus). With gas prices going through the roof, I would imagine all humanly steps are being taken to complete ASAP!
IOG will soon be a money printing machine. Once the LOG overhang finds a place, we should be looking at 50p+ share price and an attractive company for buyers with a price tag 70p+. (this incidently is my exit strategy!!)

Thanks as always sailor; last two drills saw 5 days between arrival and spudding; so my guess is by wed. 13th. Next week should be very interesting!!
We have activity on all fronts; the volume of shares on the way up, a mysterious buyer to be revealed, and a company update with the spudding of Southwark. This may reveal details of how the work is progressing. The only one to have ventured on a completion date is GG (beginning of December), but did not say what this was based on. I really think that we are days away now. The last operational update from IOG was on 23rd September (over two weeks ago!):
Destruct and tie-in works at the Saturn Banks onshore reception facilities at the Bacton Gas Terminal ("BGT") are now complete. There is a sizeable construction team on site in the process of installing the remaining infrastructure, including: new pipework, vents, metering systems, electrical and control cabling, instrumentation and the integrated control and safety system ahead of First Gas.
I see that the Seven Pegasus, which is a diving support vessel has arrived at Blythe; could this be in anticipation of the long awaited first gas???
