My thinking too. I am always bemused by people who join BBs they are not holding in. I think Eezy and Jester may be of the same ilk!

The MMs are doing their thing, manipulating the market to make their money. I try not to let their tactics bother me and just accept that they hold most of the cards and exist to make a profit.
I reckon we've all picked a stock that will make us a profit too, given a little time and patience.

I possibly/probably should have taken the profit too and it was tempting at the time. I'm being philosophical about it and just looking forward to the SP rising on news and then I'll consider my position.
I had also considered buying a ticket for the 5th day at Headingley and driving down to catch a bit of the ashes, instead I decided to wait and it seems I got that one right.
If it was possible to buy shares in Ben Stokes at the moment I'd free up some funds!

Importantly, I am still a happy man. I don't expect to make big profits, but hope too.

I don't invest more than I can afford to lose (ish) and have an eye on the longer game for my kid.

Back in 2001/2 MM was Motion Media - made a huge paper profit then stuck them in the bottom drawer as family life took over (this was pre broadband days and dial up meant everything took hours up here). They became Scotty and then disappeared with all of my investment to Austria.
I left the markets for a 15 years or so and now easing back in.
I would be a richer man if I could get get the timing right!!!!

I have been tinkering with BUR too and have a little profit.
Looking for 88e and GGP to come good,
I am a small time investor and am slightly down 2-3% but TLA getting back up to 3.00 would sort me out.

As my bottom line would testify I am not qualified to offer any advice but I have holdings in;
ITX - BLOE - JOG - I3E - BIDS and others that are longer term investments

DYOR etc

I know it's frowned upon to talk up other stocks on a separate BB but I'm enjoying my dabble in EUZ.

Grey here now but the cricket is on the radio and I've postponed my trip until later.

There's excitement afoot in other BBs with talk of take overs and re-rates.

I'm learning to be patient with my portfolio which is a miss mash of red and blue.

Lots of people came on board taking a punt on the FO news being enough to materially lift the SP. That has failed to materialise so they're moving on with a resulting drop in the SP.
We are going to benefit from a drill we are not paying for and have the rest of our assets in play for some more good news.
My kid may have to wait a bit longer for the flat deposit but that's the reality of investing.

I have to head out but as usual have been tied to the screen by this and some other stocks (not all as good, sadly).
There's some profit takers selling at the moment (good luck to them) but can we expect some more action this afternoon?
