Good morning all,
While I have no wish to become embroiled in the multi-faceted and relentless attack on BIDS and Count by some, I will simply add my tuppence worth.
I did not attend Grammar school nor University, but I do know how to spell insight and their.
I was also taught that deriding the intelligence of another while attempting to grandstand your own will often have the entirely opposite effect.
Folks, if you're not invested here why do you post continually? If you are invested, why besmirch the company and the CEO in every post?
Now, I'm off to make breakfast, then will look out an Oxbridge past exam paper, they must be slightly easier than I'd realised...

I hope this finds you all well and not too stressed with the markets.
I bought some physical gold today for the first time and thinking of doing the same with silver. Lots of you will be more knowledgable than I and as we will be selling a mine with silver etc to be extracted I wondered if anyone has any thoughts on the matter of silver?

I've held for a while and unfortunately my free cash only really became available fairly recently so my major top ups have been between 4 and 5. That said I did buy £6k last thing Friday. I am sitting on a sizeable loss by my standards but not at all concerned as I will be here long term. The price feels almost irrelevant (I recognise that foolery in such a statement) as I can only see upside here. I will be buying more this week to take me over a million shares and that will be more than 50% of my portfolio.
Do you have a view on Silver too? I am thinking that it is way undervalued (I have a holding in EUZ too and look forward to Toral being sold at some point).
Thanks again for the info on Wisdom Tree I will invest some there tomorrow.

Crises are a good time to make measure of a person or perhaps even a group of people.
A term oft bandied on BBs is "the herd", a derogatory term no doubt but it does highlight the behaviours of some trader/investors.
I have enjoyed the GGP board for a while now and it saddens me that we have now joined the ranks of the acrimonious sniping boards. Some people here could take a step back and do themselves and others a kindness, or else grow up. Please don't deign to threaten or abuse me after this post, such anonymous keyboard nonsense is laughable at best.
If it wasn't for PaddyGall and a couple of others posting very useful research I would turn off completely.

Now that's off my chest, may I wish you all good health and happiness.

We get to politely decline any nonsensical offers. We have funds to sustain us for the foreseeable so no rush to sell. Unless of course you are expecting a quick buck.

Therein lies the rub for other posters here. It's the espousing of opinion stated as fact that causes derision and angst from all sides.
I have questioned others on other BBs re their motivation to post. I still can't quite make up my mind if paid derampers actually exist. I almost hope you are as that is better than the offered alternative of bitter doom sayer.
Regardless I wish you good health and happiness as they are far more important than profit (though i admit profit makes a very satisfying side dish.)
My good wishes extend to everyone else naturally, the world is a scary place but it's made better by a bit of humanity (and wonder drugs!).

I have to admit I did not read the full minutes of the FDA meeting, were they specific in saying that steroids were not the issue?
Your point of this being a chat board is quite true, perhaps you might be a little more forgiving of Zengah and what I term his enthusiastic-confidence turettes?
There is room to accommodate all opinions (and the scarcest of commodities - facts), but sadly too much room for sniping.

You stated the FDA aren't convinced about eliminating steroids, that's the point of empirical studies to produce convincing scientific results.
I am not expert in studies, funding or much anything else (but I do make an excellent coffee) however, I am very happy with my investment in Faron. I view my holding as part investment/part donation to research and it feels really good. Perhaps you should try it?
If however you are not invested here, perhaps you should leave Zengah et al to it?

PS my other pharma stock is INDV, roll on the end of the court case...

I am very recently retired and any new employment will indeed be of philanthropic nature.
Forgive my ignorance...(there it is again, I do enjoy these dalliances in punctuation!)...but how exactly are you helping people here? Are you a professional Financial Advisor or are you referring to your slating of this company in which you are not invested?

I am going to 'out' myself here...(ellipses are all the rage)...I am invested in BIDS.
I know that may come as a shock to some on here who clearly aren't.
Just wondered where I can apply for the sort of job that would allow me to spend my days spreading negativity on Bulletin Boards frequented by people who are faced with poorly performing investments?
I am neither Socio nor Psychopath but do find myself open to the possibility of paid employment, for surely that can be the only reason for the naysayers to spend so much time here?

Please don't misinterpret my post/question. I am in no rush, indeed quite the opposite as I will be able to release funds in future to grow my stake in GGP.
My musings on a takeover of NCM are hardly pie in the sky, their SP performance of late makes them a (slightly) more attractive target and as has been previously discussed they are on the radar.

Can you imagine NCM curtailing their drilling looking for the edge and just infill drilling instead so they can expedite the MRE? As you've pointed out, they are in hurry to confirm the future of Telfer and their shareholders/BOD must be considering the impact of a TO bid for them from Rio etc.

Perhaps, shady dealing and not playing with a straight bat is more of a certain Sicilian family thing as opposed to an Australian thing?
I don't think NC will want to shaft GGP or be seen as anything untoward by their shareholders.
GH is obviously comfortable with the JV and accordingly so am I.
