Overview
Endeavour’s fourth and newest mine, El Compas, is located in Zacatecas, the 3rd largest historic silver mining district in Mexico. The fully permitted mine and leased plant were acquired in 2016, we commenced development in 2017 and started commissioning in 2018 and expect to attain commercial production in Q1, 2019. Since the mine and plant are both scalable, exploration is focused on finding multiple small orebodies to ultimately fill the plant to capacity to 500 tpd. A preliminary economic assessment was completed in 2017 (see Endeavour News Release dated March 27, 2017) modeling a 200 tpd operation. Since publishing the PEA, the Company has continued to optimize mining methods, the crushing circuit and grinding alternatives and has been successful on a number of fronts in improving the operating metrics. The information presented below incorporates the improved operating metrics announced in February 2018 (see Endeavour News Release dated February 20, 2018):
