Rob - Great post. I thought exactly the same, but couldn’t have put it as well as you..
Phoebus - Well said. There is so much to look forward to in 2021.
Brad and OMI are just pawns in the game.
Newmont will make all the decisions, and will take over OMI next year. Brad and OMI are trying to look important, to achieve some negotiation strength in the takeover process.
Just let Brad/OMI and Agnico get on with the drilling - that’s what they are being paid to do.......
We will see exceptional drilling results in the next 12 weeks, Newmont will get directly involved, and then watch out for a major scale up in exploration and drilling throughout 2021.
Guys - I understand all your concerns about the £4m placing and its timing/price, about the wording of the RNS, about director buys, and about the tone of Brad's presentation tonight and how he answers your questions.
But for me, however important all that is, it's my absolute confidence in Newmont/Agnico to deliver that makes me certain that Anza is going to be a huge success story.
Newmont/Agnico are not world renowned gold miners for nothing. They have the best teams in the business, and would not be spending time and money on OMI, unless they were very confident of a major find.
Just be patient for a few more weeks.
Orosur own Anzá.
The drilling will prove that the resource is worth many multiples of today’s price.
What’s a £4m raise against hundreds and thousands of million’s value next year.........
I
Tylers - Can you read? I said in the last few days, not 2 weeks ago.......
To all the sellers in the last few days - You have made a very big mistake........
OMI will be the GO TO share for all Aim investors in the next 6 months.
Buys totalling 260000 reported on Advfn afterhours
In 2018 Newmont signed 2 agreements with Columbian miners - OMI/ANZA and Miranda/Lyra. The latter is a prospect directly between Buritica and ANZA.
In the past 2 years Newmont have carried out extensive feasibility studies on both. In June this year Newmont walked away for Lyra.
The fact that some of the world's best geologists, geoscientists, and field engineers told Newmont to forget Lyra, and fully concentrate on Anza is a major statement of confidence.
We do have posters who question the ability and integrity of these highly qualified experts.
It's your choice who you believe. I know who I do.
I think Anon is Aegos in disguise........
As Rob says the MMs use every trick they have to lure PIs into buying on a spike, or as today, panic sell when they drop the price. 100,000 more bought today than sold tells you that they don’t even attempt to balance the books, just try to take advantage of PI’s inexperience.
OMI will come good for everybody that is patient
Bhargav, yes, you’re correct in your latest post. It seems most investors missed the reason for the first 2 years of cash payments to OMI. Newmont were already committed to a 2 year programme of drilling/ mining elsewhere in the world, and OMI needed the cash to close down Uruguay.
The payment in March and the one due this week were just part of the agreement. Don’t be disappointed if the RNS doesn’t arrive tomorrow. It could be that Brad is planning a blockbuster RNS with news of both the payment and the commencement of drilling.
Despite the many brilliant and analytical posts from B,NG,KA,MEM,N,R,MK,P,E and others we are still largely 'preaching to the converted'.
Love them or hate them, we will need the herd to accelerate the daily trades from 150/300 to nearer a 1000, and exponentially increase the share price/mcap.
At the moment there is an obvious attraction to Covid stocks, EUA, GGP with potentially a further 50% upside, but I believe there will be big drift to OMI during the next 6 months as pi's begin to understand the opportunity.
My guess is that it will occur in at least 4 stages, with the following possible % increase in share price each time.
Nov. $582 payment received and the first drilling news, +25%
Dec. Gold veins confirmed, more drills brought in , +25%
Jan. High grades confirmed and other sites being drilled, +50%
April. A tier 1 gold mine, +100%
By this time there will be substantial press coverage and probable fund buying, so the share price could go stratospheric.

Absolutely right. Ok, a few will make a lot more, but you can still do very well with a smaller number of shares.
The ship's already sailing in GGP, EUA, NCYT and most of the covid stocks.
In OMI we haven't even boarded the ship.
Smalltrader, To be a successful trader you need to fully understand AIM and the strategies of MM's, in particular. Ideally you need to read all posts, good and bad for a few weeks before investing. All posters on LSE have an agenda, whether they want you to buy or to sell, to suit their market position. Avoid shares that have a history of dilution
After that I buy as heavily as I can into a maximum of 3 shares and wait for a few weeks, to decide which share is best. And you need to be lucky. I then load that share, as I did with OMI, when buying 1.25m at an average of 2.87p. What I couldn't understand was how I was able to buy as low as 1.9p, long after Newmont paid 5.5p. With the great exception of Bhargav, whose posts were always very positive, everybody else seemed to be missing a trick.
So good luck to each poster with whatever strategy you choose. I really hope it works for you.
If you had invested10k in NCYT at the start of the the year, it would be worth £1m now. In OMI we have an equally life-changing share. On the Canadian website in June Pi's held 38m shares in the 4 investment companies. How many more have been bought by PI's since the Sept RNS, and more importantly how many shares does this board own cumulatively?
My guess is c10m, and that you need 250000 shares bought below 40p to achieve your first £1m holding.
So, do you want to be a millionaire ? You decide.
Wayne, I agree with everything you have said
Under Canadian law the threshold for triggering a takeover is 20% of the voting rights. When the agreement was struck in 2018 it was in both OMI and Newmont interests to do the deal at 19.9%, because the gold, silver and mineral reserves were anticipated but unproven.
Since then of course OMI have issued an additional 10m shares to Lorysur, diluting Newmont to 18.23%.For Newmont to launch a friendly takeover, they would need to buy only a further 1.75m. When the resource is proven within the next 6-12 months, I believe Newmont/Agnico will launch a bid. They are both major companies that need to keep appeasing huge shareholders, and full control of Anza would be a great addition to their world projects. It is just possible that OMI could receive a counter hostile bid from Zijin or another Chinese conglomerate if Newmont wait too long, and a bidding war would break out. Newmont would obviously not want that to happen.
Whatever the result we will be the winners, and the more shares you have the greater the reward.
