"While the same patents are involved as before why is the Maxwell case so different and why are they fighting so hard?"
Yes it's all the same 2 patent infringement charge sheet. In the previous two cases, the outcomes were different. One was a settlement, the other was a judgement. What else is on that wheel of fortune, other than loss or win?

Lil ole Tesla seems to be involved in over a thousand lawsuits, even from its own shareholders
2004 video from CSIRO engineers on the supercaps which they'd (34 of them) been working on since the early 90's and led to the cpx patents granted in 2005. (CSIRO - Aussie science and technology centre for the Govt)

Tesla's 2013 patent description appears almost identical to that of cpx's, technical summary of that is described under "what CSIRO did" here.

Both cover nano-porous particles in the carbon and respective binder for the electrodes. Somewhere in there is Tesla's gripe or not. Is it the measurements of the particles?
My guess is Tesla are prevaricating and trying to bury a 4 year old lawsuit (probably losing) with another armed with more lawyers and more cash.
Respective patents from both, one appears more thorough than the other but there's obviuosly a difference because you cant have 2 patents for same invention?

Here's a good example of a company using sensors to optimise its property footprint and make savings.
Yup I've been wondering where all the juice is going to come from to power the IOT, not just where it comes from but how it gets to us. And a lot else I hazard! It appears that next generation cabling (HVDC) can shift renewable power around countries quite easily.

I saw it mentioned on Justhaveathink's channel, who shows others at it. Bear with, he's a renewable maverick and introduces stuff years in advance
