George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Many of those objections are copy and paste , fed with mis-information of fracking , Etc.
Have a look at gridwatch and see how much electric is produced with gas today even with all this sunshine and breeze.
We are even producing with coal today and sending some electric to France …
( they were supposed to be sending us cheap nuclear )
I’m confused ibug, did I dream the mad planning meetings and the inquiry, and the proof of evidence ? No ..
They exist .
Waverly council will get the same response as Finch.. you had opportunity to comment , which you did twice and those points were concidered in the planning balance . Therefore the decision was legal.
They might argue the trucks might overhang the common land at the corner.
But they have to allow mineral development but protect the environment on the common land. As no actual harm happens to the common land , there is no harm to mitigate.
They submitted an Enviromental proof of evidence but did not call thier witness at the inquiry and UKOG had their expert available to counter any verbal evidence but he was not needed as I recall. I am confused how they think they have a case.
Other Councillor's on Waverley council reading this need to do full and proper research before treading these legal waters with tax payers money. They should start with the enquire documents and proofs of evidence. Was the case covered in the inspectors/ secretary of states report?
Happy weekend reading ;-)
I haven’t “ramped” this or any other share for about 3 years.
I have been super cautious to say what I observed, report what’s happening.
Report news angles. Planning points.
You will not find a post or tweet saying “ buy this” “ rocket” etc
Some choose to manipulate the truth
I was actually describing banned posters… but some thought they fitted my description …
Interesting .. have a nice weekend
If you saw the green attitude at the Loxley meeting and IOW meeting and compare it with the West Sussex meeting to extend BB , there were Councillors receiving £300 per month energy bills. We haven’t yet seen electricity rationing but it’s coming! They have plans to stop you charging electric cars in the day time at home. You will have to have a smart home car charger.
Even though my energy costs are under £200 , octopus were pushing me for to pay £305 and now are pushing for £315 per month.
Most Councillors are semi retired on modest incomes.
Also the IOW is very dependant on mainland energy and is gasified oil fired dinasoar power station might be kicked into much more use.
UKOG hove lost a round in the costs bid where the government back local government … after the planning inspector backed local government
This is not the COURTS …
If UKOG choose to go to the courts, I doubt this flimsy argument of a shoddy highways objection would stand up.
Also after winning the Dunsfold planning Appeal they could submit a new planning application for the IOW. Addressing a couple of concerns and new national importance now Germany is in crisis and reopening coal fired power stations etc
“ is there a demand for hydrogen as a fuel yet”
There is demand for these gas storage facillities, LNG reserves now and hydrogen in the future.
The government have finally realised energy security is important.
The current investment needed at Portland is £5m ish in planning consents and then the facility will be worth 5x that without a stick of engineering being constructed.
The LNG caverns will allow propane to be bought in bulk at summer price and sold at winter or peak price.
Hydrogen is the longer term project. But HGV haulage and construction equipment will need to be on hydrogen to replace diesel
Then there is the hydrogen battery storage. Storing energy during windy and sunny times to release on cloudy calm days .( 2040 when they have filled the sea and fields with windmills and solar panels , allegedly )
I doubt UKOG would get to build these projects , the permissions would be sold on or the company bought out for its assets that a major company wanted.
Jeremy Hunt always fails to mention he is sponsored by AQUIND ENERGY in his members interests. They have Incinerator projects and a Sub- Sea electric cable that’s hit the planning rocks in Portsmouth.
The irony is the French are now burning our electric , sometime generated by coal!
The French don’t appear to be sending us any cheap electric when ever I look on gridwatch. The French will have to decommission many of their nuclear plants very soon. I think Hunts comments are so inflammatory and untrue he may have crossed the standards line for MPs behaviour . And it’s on House of Commons paper to a minister…
Not a glib comment in a newspaper rag
