The farmer at Dunsfold wanted to erect a cattle finishing barn in the countryside..
These were the objections
29 letters have been received raising objection on the following grounds:
- Unsuitable access road
- Increased traffic movement and size of vehicles
- Impact on the nearby AONB and AGLV
- The site is a field not a farm
- Impact upon nearby wedding venue; noise, odour, traffic
- Animal waste management and pollution
- Concerns regarding proposed use with specific regards to Bovine
Tuberculosis (TB)
- Expressing the desire for a ‘masterplan’ to be submitted over a piecemeal
approach for the site.
He got permission
We are sitting on heaps of coal and oil and gas… but we will be the thick tumbleweeds that choose to freeze to death malnourished on a vegan diet in our woke lambswool jumpers surrounded by trees we can’t cut down to light a fire
There was a steady flow of called in and recalled decisions being updated in .gov website…
Then………………………silence…
For 26 days………………nowt, nothing, nada
Make of that what you will.
You can’t blame UKOG for a dysfunctional government
It is interesting that Fawley is going to spend £800m on ultra low sulphur diesel plant.
We need hydrogen but they aren’t going to scrap their £200k diesel excavators , farm tractors, etc

There is the Alaska project and talk of brining back the Navitus bay projevt
https://www.infinergy.co.uk/2021/11/26/turbines-secured-for-8mw-alaska-wind-farm-in-dorset/
The eco protection of that location is important but this scheme is not doing the pipeline across the bay. ( seahorses in fine weed)
The Enviromental benefits of a hydrogen plant are a plus- That offsets harm
The need for fuel security is far more understood by the public and Councillors as anyone who watched the Broadford Bridge application last month.
The synergy with the Portland wind farm project
The national significance, and planning structure bypassing local planning .
Aparrently Portland gas was granted permission in 2008 for a gas storage project. It just never got built.
So planning is far easier to resurrect the old proposal and make the appropriate changes

No not at all… HH is fractured already , the issue is the kimmeridge is the consistency of Christmas cake and you are after the currants .
If you mess to much the cake between the currents changes to thick dough and blocks the flow of currents
It’s not a hard rock that you can crack & prop open with sand and the oil will flow.
If you use nitrogen lift on a horizontal bore there are enough fractures the nitrogen will go up the fractures rather than your intended exit route
Have house prices crashed around Dunsfold, HorseHill, Brockham …..
If they have it’s because the jobs related to Gatwick have gone…
Or people can’t afford to send their horses to the heated equine swimming pool next to horse hill
County contributions
Each county needs to contribute to the uk in energy terms.
Surrey needs to do it’s bit. Oil , solar, wind.
Possibly you cold trade between counties, we will take your refugees in exchange for you providing more power or water
Polo horse land and golf corses are not valid trading tokens!
Surrey can’t keep claiming it’s AONBs, and then land visible from the AONB and then use the rest for golf and horses ignoring its housing and power contributions.
Maybe they could trade with Somerset or Devon .
But you cannot run that many range rovers and horse boxes , heated swimming pools for horses rehab and not contribute to the power equation
If all sea borders were closed and pipelines…
Would the UK freeze and starve?
Burn everything we grow in bio fuels and starve?
Drill for oil and gas, grow crops, ?
Open up the coal mines and grow crops?
Wait 25 years for nuclear , grow crops and freeze?
Plant solar panels , 1/2 the crops and freeze in winter?
Erect wind pylons and freeze when the wind doesn’t blow ?
The tulips bubble is more related to pyramid investing …
Everyone sees the price rising so invests to join the craze. until there are no more investors.
You might say that crypto currencies could go that way.
Elon musk and his Tesla corp. the company is prices some ridiculous price per produced car.
An oiler is priced on its production and potential reserves and at the time it was thought to be billions of pounds of retrievable oil .
The oil is still there , it’s the retrievable bit that hasn’t worked out…. Yet.
The tulips were just speculated to be worth t hundreds of pounds per bulb. But there weren’t enough rich people to keep paying for them.
Teslas are worth about £40-50k but the company is priced ant millions per car.
Musk has realised that and is taking any currency including crypto to cash out before the crash.
In my opinion…
This is a quote from my Octopus energy bill
“ National Grid's constant job is to call on many different types of power: increasingly green wind, solar and hydro; but also including gas, nuclear or even coal, to keep things in balance. Because all energy generators are filling the same important function in this way,>>>> the highest price ends up setting the wholesale market price. So when gas prices are high, electricity prices from all sources are too. <<<<
This is outdated and we are pushing for change but, for now, it's just the way things work. “
Boris and kwasi keep banging on about cheap wind and solar.
However, what they don’t tell us is they don’t pay what the solar cost to produce, they seam to have a deal that they pay what ever fossil fuel electric costs…
So we are paying huge amount for electric that’s intermittent and only cost 7p?
We have agreed to pay 30p for nuclear power. ( when it’s built )
You get what you negotiated, even if that’s a crud deal .
Truth is we are sitting on tons of coal and oil but would rather collapse the British economy to show the world that we are stupid and buy Chinese steel mad using coal.
Anyway… we need a middle ground where we don’t bankrupt the UK or toast the planet. That plan was to transition by 2050. But current Councilors and government are going for switch off and bust.
Does anyone remember the 3 day week? When we ran out of electric in the miners strike…
Electric turned off in cycles to save coal
