Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I am watching as things transpire and am in awe at the intelligence, tenacity and determination of my fellow shareholders. None of us know how this will eventually work out but the work that has gone on, on our behalf is just incredible. It would be unfair to name individuals as so many have made such important contributions but we all know who is bearing the brunt of this superb effort. I can't contribute to the financial debate but I have written to the press and to my local MP, trying to add one more voice to the increasing clamour there is for justice. We haven't heard from RBM for a while and it will be interesting to see how things are developing with the CAG. In the meantime I can only thank everyone who has done so much in the last few weeks to bring these criminals to book.
Agreed stas. I am no financial expert and have some difficulty understanding exactly what has happened and how the bond holders have decimated the company share price, but it seems the main protagonists have done this sort of thing before, and have got away with it , with other companies. Consequently we must not underestimate the significance of the class action that is currently underway. It appears the 'authorities' have displayed casual indifference to other examples of this kind of fraud, allowing TR and his cohort to continue with apparent impunity. Failure of the class action here will essentially give carte blanche to these crooks to use this scam as a template for other scams and for other crooks to follow suit. The next few months will be very interesting and important. Good luck to us all and in particular to RBM and his group.
Just got back from doing 18 holes and logged on. With the odd exception todays posts are the usual combination of rubbish and pointless bickering by the usual subjects. 95% of the comments today have been utter tripe with a big dollop of hot air. Another 10 minutes of my life I won't get back again. I really despair sometimes.
It is fantastic to see such a momentum change and the sp going up. As one of the so called LTH's I am still 90% ish down on my initial investment. My confidence has taken a hammering along with my bank account. As tempting as it may seem to plough more cash into this I am reserving judgement until the way forward is more secure and this mess is sorted out. I just can't afford to risk any more cash at the moment but I wish those buying now the very best of luck. to be honest, what some of us have gone through, I will be very happy to just get my money back. Huge thanks to all those working in the background on our behalf.
Stas, that is a huge commitment you are undertaking and I am extremely impressed by your resolve to get this done. I know this will give you no pleasure to be proved right, but you had AM nailed almost from the start. Respect to you. I am sure your evidence will be of huge value to the class action. I am so grateful for guys like you, RBM and others who are chasing this with so much vigour and determination. Thank you.
Quite rightly there is outrage as these people continue to act with apparent impunity. They are sticking two fingers up at us, the shareholders and the authorities who seem to be displaying casual indifference to their antics. What they are doing is morally and ethically abhorrent, but is it actually illegal? How are these miscreants to be punished? Can RBM and his group achieve what they are trying to do? I am beginning to have a bad feeling about this. However, there is still hope. I hope!! Good luck to us all.
I just want to add my thanks to RBM, the SHG , stas and all the others who have made significant contributions to the 'knowledge bank'. Clearly there is still much to play for and the crooks will hopefully pay a huge price for their avarice. The concern I have is that the perpetrators have done this before, a number of times and the authorities have turned a blind eye. They are displaying casual indifference to illegal fraudulent activities that has taken place right under their noses. Now that this can of worms has been opened they can hardly ignore it unless they are complicit (which tbh is unlikely). Someone posted earlier (and quite rightly), if nothing is now done to rectify this scandal then the London Stock Exchange will be seen as corrupt and not fit for purpose. We must all shout loudly and to as many people as possible, explaining what has happened here so that it cannot be ignored ensuring that action is taken. If I were one of the crooks (the only way to describe them), I would start to look over my shoulder. The freedoms I have hitherto enjoyed may soon be a thing of the past.
Totally agree Stas. Imo AM and RG (and probably the rest of the BoD) knew what the outcome was going to be as soon as they brought Anavio into the picture. Richardsons track record was there for all to see (as we are now witnessing). This was no mistake by AM.
Smallthingumybob we all know what your views are. You keep repeating yourself. You might be right but RBM and his group are at least giving it their best on our behalf to recover something. That is so much better than just giving in to this bunch of crooks. You are now repetitive and boring so I will squeeze you into my little green box.
Trust is at the centre of this. Due to the actions of the main protagonists, (whom we once trusted), we have become suspicious of the motives of almost everyone here. Very few of us know each other personally and comments are made all the time which are rude and insulting. It is done because we are anonymous and we don't have to face each other 'in the flesh'. I don't know if RBM is genuine, although I am strongly inclined to believe him. What would be the point of him setting himself up in this way? He doesn't seem to be the sort of person who gets off trying to impress a load of people he doesn't know and will never meet. As an individual who has no powerful/rich connections I am pretty powerless to effect the outcome of this scandal. I am happy to ride on the coat tails of RBM and his group and offer him whatever help I can (which won't be much), in the hope that we are able to get something back and bring the offenders to justice. I have not been asked for money, just my support. I have fingers and all other appendages crossed that the efforts they appear to be making will bear fruit. We all deserve some good fortune in this debacle and I think RBM and his group are one way that may bring us some of this. Good luck to us all and good luck to RBM's SH group.
What I find absolutely astonishing is not just the behaviour of the directors and Anavio, but the fact that they did it because they think they will get away with it. Unfortunately, due to the seemingly casual indifference shown by the authorities, it looks like they will. In effect the UK stock market is not fit for purpose. In the end, turning a blind eye to this type of criminality will come back to bite it. I applaud the shareholder group for their efforts and thank them for all they are trying to do. I just have a nasty suspicion that the protagonists will just get a bit of a 'naughty boy' slap on the wrist coupled with a wry smile, a nod and a wink and a warning to be more careful next time. Boy am I p*ssed off.
Whilst many are celebrating (and the best of luck to them), there are many who are still 90+ % down on their investment. For some of us, if there is a recovery, and the company is 'saved', it remains a long haul to to even begin to get our money back.
All lovely, but my average is closer to 10p!!! Good luck to those buying now. All my spare is already in here! I've been shafted and I just want to get out of the stock market with the smallest loss I can get. There are many many in the same boat. I would bite the hand off anyone offering 1.5p!! However, I am realistic enough to accept that price is very unlikely now if not impossible.
I know RBM, Stas and others are doing their best to support us pi's, and I am grateful for their efforts. However, witnessing the antics of these crooked money men who are undoubtedly in cahoots with AM, RG and the other board members, leaves me feeling that, for us, we have really lost it all. What a murky, appalling world some people occupy. The weakness of the regulatory authorities is laid bare. To say I am shocked that (it looks like) they will get away with this is a huge understatement. I just hope those responsible have missed something to enable them to be brought to book, but I doubt it. It seems they have done this sort of thing before and so will know how to exploit the legal loopholes. They just needed the nod and wink from the board to put their scheme in play. I know my money is gone but I live in hope that the crooks get caught and sent down.
If we cannot believe the CEO of a listed company when he has made the comments listed by Stas then no-one should invest in any company and the stockmarket is not fit for purpose. I don't know whether AM has done anything illegal here but, after reading what he said it's no wonder folk invested. His comments are clearly misleading with 'jam tomorrow' the focus. He is certainly shameless and has no regard for shareholders and he deserves any punishment that comes his way. I have probably had the most difficult week of my life. Having to explain to my wife what has happened to our (relatively) small retirement pot. I was hoping to present her with tickets for a cruise we have hankered after for some time, out of the profit from this 'investment'. I wasn't after life changing money, just something like a 2 bagger (at least). Instead, I broke the news the day after boxing day and it was a horrible experience. I am 71 and we have pensions, so we are not destitute by any means but I know there are others who have been hit very hard by this shocking company. I pray that those responsible for the suffering they have caused get their just desserts. Personally, it has drained me emotionally, and I have had numerous sleepless nights. My wife and I are trying to rebuild, we are of reasonable health, we can afford to heat and eat so we have much to be thankful for. I wish everyone who has suffered at the hands of these awful people the best of good fortune for the future. It's glib to say 'it's only money', (which of course it is), but there is a hefty price to pay in all sorts of other ways. Good luck to everyone for the future and lets hope the can of worms is blown wide open!
