It does surprise me we are dragging our heels with Oxford Vac. Considering MHRA have been involved since early development, and its all UK based, rather surprised... Why not at least "Extend" trials whilst awaiting approval, so this may have allowed for more vaccinations upto approval which may be class as trials, but vaccinations non the less... Just beggars belief that we heard the Oxford news a month ago, but swiftly passed Pfizer which has now been stuck in 350,000 arms already (Sop nearly used up our Pfizer allowance haha!)...
New Strain - For god sake, there have been plenty of strains identified, another story for the media to squeeze every drop out of us and drive fear and negativity! So the 'new' strain is becoming dominant, so what... That means the old strain is dying out, evolution, big deal, the virus poses no more threat than increased transmissibility..... Or is that simply quantified due to Southerns going out Christmas shopping/eating/drinking in excess due to pent up frustration combined with festive seasons!
I'm sorry, I'm not buying this 'increased transmissibility by 70% to be purely a result of 'new strain'.
I fear a 3rd Lockdown is imminent, perhaps necessary for rollout of vaccine in Jan, but it needs to be a FULL lockdown, not the wet lockdown we had in November. That may give us a chance of cruising into Spring and beyond... However, I will be genuinely surprised if the population takes another Lockdown on the nose, personally I am fatigued and frustrated with it all, its drastically affected my business, and continues to do so, mental health and friends/family support and socialisation. Dont get me wrong, im not going to get my pitchfork out, but there are a good majority of the population that fit that profile!
your evidence?
It’s a strange concept, but shockingly, they will release the film in other countries other than the UK... I know, weird right?
The imminent release of one film is not going to be governed by last minute changes in tiered social restrictions in one country, which frankly isn’t happening elsewhere!
...Hello CINE!
Just imagine the additional footfall in Regal cinemas next year if AMC close, or substantially reduce their 'open' theatres! This will naturally provide a substantial boost for CINE's American arm, with a massive slate of films due in 2021, we are well placed to not only survive until then, but the thrive upon reopening! How exciting!
More like 150p by Spring!
Reckon Friday will be liftoff for us, as our market may close by the time FDA make the official announcement. Who knows. However we may rise with anticipation? Kind surprised today hasn't seen a bit more of a rise. People still concerned about WB?! Shouldn't be...
Wholeheartedly agree... but another Motley Fool article. They change their mind every week.
Says Lancet Journal...

As I said earlier, new son this soon, by next Wednesday I'd hope... Only sticking point is this strange and accidental anomaly of the half dose showing higher efficacy. Perhaps some head scratching required over that. But AstraZenica say they will produce 3 BILLION vaccines in 2021 for the world. Nice!
Surprised Noel Edmonds hasn't been brought into negations yet...
Due next Wednesdays by my fag packet calculations...
Pfizer vaccine took 3 weeks & 2 days from announcement of 90% efficacy to MHRA approval...
By the same token, this ought to mean Oxford approval officially in the post on Wednesday next week, perhaps sooner since MHRA have been involved directly with the Oxford Vaccine & Trials all along. One would assume this can only speed up the process vs Pfizer.
Just my thumb in the air interpretation, but we will no doubt hear of FDA approval by the end of this week for USA, which will be huge for CINE, with Oxford to follow next week, which will be huge for CINE's UK portion of business. Thus will begin completing the picture of reopening in Spring, and me watching Bond with a fat stack of popcorn and paper value in my shares.
Cheers!
Deal will have a positive uptick for the whole market, we will be carried up with it to a small degree.
No Deal will have minimal effect, as majority of business is overseas from UK (Mostly USA), CINE doesn't import/export good or have any trading, and we are currently shut, with a view to opening in Spring with a large slate of films... Dont see how Brexit really has much bearing on Cineworld in the short term, let alone the long term. Not even worth talking about frankly.
.... A green box swiftly follows!
Will come back tomorrow to read the intelligible posts. Evening all... Buckle up for tomorrow, 8am at the doors!
Because his heads clearly full of Rocks...
Bit of a disappointing finish today, but leaves more upside for tomorrow, with lots of inbound news this week. Im hopeful we may be in for a few decent days back end of this week, beginning of next!
Broken.... looking forward to closing figures today.
Pfizer vaccine approval due this week, among other news flow.
GD19 - How well did Mulan do for Disney+?
Thanks for coming. Another green filter bin box!
Probably works for WB. What a Wally!
You're quick... Rewind 20 hours and your post would carry some weight.
WB announcement has taken affect, we move on.
Due this afternoon with such volume and flat SP movement over the past four hours... Think this will feel a nice rise into the finish. Im hoping it will swell to 68p at the close.
Remember, so much news due re Vaccines, Brexit, Cinema's etc etc... This news can land over weekends as well as overnight and/or out of trading hours midweek. Frankly this share has much to offer in the near and long term.
"WOULDN'T WANT TO BE OUT OVER THE WEEKEND" has never rung so true. A few positive news droplets over the weekend, and this could open 75-80p on Monday, why would you want to miss the opportunity with 3 hours trading left.
A rise into the close looking likely.
Shall we just accept a bit of manufactured genocide then, and at least the survivors can get to the cinema to see Bond?
Thanks for letting us know its too risky for you...
Jumping out of a plane with a napkin on my back is too risky for me... Just so everyone here knows. This news may tank the SP, but its vital I tell strangers on a BB why I chose not to buy back weeks ago...
Bore off!
It changed last night after he shut his eyelids...
Quite how someone is so prolific in trading, as Investroid, when all they do is chat on a BB spouting about their greatness... Probably ShortGuys, big brother, and he get £5 a month more spending money from his mum.
What a baller! Changes his mind more than Boris!
