MFU hi, great advise to a newbie / novice I wish I had the same when I first started lol. We all started there at one time !!!!!!

Great post and quite a few should take note. As they say a "little profit" is better than "None at all". Surely that's what dealing in shares is all about, you should never forget having some fun at times, especially when you have a great big smile on your face.

Yes I thought as much :-( and yes I have thought about the Kids accounts). I have spoken to my Niece who has Two young boys and I will start an account for them both soon. I hold quite a few in my Normal Trading account (7 mil) but most in the ISA its the trading account that I am concerned about but hey ho pay me CGT and then enjoy the rest.

Rock are in the trading but down ATM and not worried too much about them as they have been down since I bought them back in November lol.

At least my input to NCYT, & SNG are in the ISA.

Bamps hi, just a question that is bugging me.

Just a silly question that I should know but here goes, ( I think the answer is yes)

If you hold AIM ( say GGP for example ) shares in a Normal taxable ( NON ISA ) trading account do you still pay CGT ( Excluding allowance ) The reason I ask is that AIM is exempt from Stamp duty ( TAX ) etc so my mad thinking is that any gain will not be subject to CGT, silly but I can't find an answer on the tax details on line.

The answer to your question is no its not to late. The SP is at a high at the moment and if you can get in under £4 I personally would but you may fine the SP will get a lot higher next week and possibly start higher next Tuesday than the current price 3.77. What you could do on Monday is set a "Buy limit" say 3.85 for Tuesday when the Market opens just get the date right set for the 14th April. The other thing you could do is just watch the SP Tuesday Morning and start early 07:30 log in and wait for the 08:00 open, it could be a wild day for sure hence the Buy limit.
