I would prefer a lower price as I don't want to sell this one.

Bellway won't even guess how large the provision might be - the market is terrified. But even If Bellway is stuck paying 100m per year for ever, it will still have huge earnings.

Hi Taverham, BP is making a load of money, but it needs to be spent on replacing the oil business. In my view this is a massive barrier to growth. Bellway can spend its earnings on increasing the size of the land bank and the output of new houses - a much clearer path to growth and one that has worked well so far.

The time to sell was a year ago at 78p, but today isn't too bad. It's the highest price for 4 months and lots of other shares are near their lowest price in 4 months. I also wonder how much demand for giant diamonds will be lost to the sanctions. Wealthy Russians are famous for their bad taste, I'd guess they buy quite a few of the more expensive stones.

I started buying a couple of years ago because of the strong balance sheet and cash generation. No matter how much cash GEMD can "generate," shareholders won't get any. It's for fixing the hole and other operating expenses. 15 years digging this hole has only generated ~11p per share in dividends and it would be surprising if the next 15 years matched the last seeing as the hole is now much steeper and deeper. The next 15 years of dividends are the sole source of shareholder value, as 15 years is the remaining LOM. What chance is there of getting anything like 58p over that time?
