Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Saint Piran or Pyran, died c. 480, was a 5th-century Cornish abbot and saint, of Irish origin. He is the patron saint of tin-miners, and is also generally regarded as the patron saint of Cornwall, although Saint Michael and Saint Petroc also have some claim to this title.
And some award winning cheese to go with it from the Cornish Gouda Company

Blacksheep....don't tell them your name Pike :)
Hi Lupi....yes indeed....Cobre.....plant required for operational purposes should have been depreciated before the 'profit' was calculated.....basic business accounting and the final indication they are not running the business properly
Enough of the talking BOD, get the f*ck on with the job of progressing these assets or get the f*ck out
dvh.....actions speak louder than words
dvh...Party Outfit....Fancy Dress Party.....you could come as the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz.......pity we haven't got a Wizard from Oz running SML
ends PMQ's babbling on about how Cornwall is at the centre of the EV revolution with it's copper and tin mines......pity we will never (okay maybe some day) get it out of the ground with the 'trough noses' "running" this business.....
No Fira they gave no detail at all......total p*ss take claiming a profit and then having to raise to replace machinery that should be written down/depreciated pre-profit figure published....not the way to run a business that anyone can have faith in.....imo
BA...shall I take that as a 'no' then....just to be clear LOL
I dont care who they get over XMAS.....
Would you draw the line at Cliff Richard?
Mistletoe and Wine anyone?
BitCoin...it's a question not a toy being thrown. Perhaps you have the answer?
Exactly what 'equipment' is being upgraded and renewed at Cobre and why isn't this depreciated in the accounts before the profit figure is calculated. I am guessing they have a weighbridge and loading equipment. We know the office is a portable building that cost $100,000 to move a while back (wow!).....I spent 25 yrs in the haulage business and you didn't spend your profit on replacing trucks, that was paid for out of the depreciation allowed for. You spent your profit on expanding the business and driving it forward......I want to see exactly what they are spending this on at Cobre. It's an operation that simply loads a pile of magnetite on to other peoples trucks.....you load them, you weight them, you send them a bill, they pay you (unless your name is Brenda).....it ain't rocket science. They don't process anything.
Was going to post this an hour ago but got stuck on the phone so apologies if this has been asked already
they ran out of time as he was still giving evidence to the Select Committee....I dare say it'll get picked up by the news feeds later today/tomorrow
from Elbow is going to discuss live streaming and what the artists earn from it......should be worth a watch
Lupidog has gone through a re-rate I think....Now LoopyDog....on the BB trying to Whippet into a fury....he's ****apoo today....a PUGnacious little character....I think someones had their Weetabix....(sorry I meant Winalot) for breakfast
Seriously though we have great assets...somehow/someway the BOD need to get them out of the ground so Fira can change his tune too....I Fira the worst, But I hopa for the best.....
All the other stuff is providing a perfect storm for what we have....GLA
Hi Fira
The Amazon bloke won't pay for it though, the self employed van drivers will......they will need to rethink how that is going to work....
Shift-work £13-15 per hour* – based on delivering a number of parcels across an estimated length of time (referred to as a block). No matter what drives you, Amazon Flex helps you get there. What is Amazon Flex? It’s simple! You use your own vehicle and your smartphone to deliver parcels for Amazon as a way of earning extra money to move you closer to your goals. Schedule a delivery block of time and start delivering. Adjust your work not your life. Perhaps you have a job but want to supplement your income. Or maybe you are already a delivery driver and want something to keep you busy on the quieter days. Whatever your situation Amazon Flex can offer you the freedom and flexibility to be your own boss and earn extra cash on your own schedule. Money Matters. Know your earnings. When you schedule a delivery block, you’ll know estimated duration and your total payments – all before your delivery block begins. You can build your own schedule, there...

White Van Man will be rebranded Green Van Man (but only available in White):)
Impressed with the new acts being announced, great momentum building here....let's hope they have something extra special for Christmas. Blossoms...Another tenner a ticket gig.....looking good
Morning DJP.....Melody is kind of like Uber, Just Eat and AirBnB in so much as being a 'disruptive' technology within the industry. However it has the backing of the artists across a whole spectrum of genres and ages that will provide them with a much better slice of the pie in future, which sets it well apart from the others I mention. It is the start of a revolution as you say and I too am glad to be here to watch it evolve over the coming years

Morning Magnet, I hear what you're saying but I think with the pent up demand for 'live' performances this does give Melody an opportunity to test the market while the real live shows are hold. I think underselling artists like LG to try and appeal to the masses wouldn't sit well and I'm was pleasantly surprised to see the tricket prices for the latest shows they ahve announced...with more to come.
At the end of the day we'll see what the take up is and whether this was a successful strategy.
