So according to this, from Sky News this evening, JD has been in talks!

Thanks Legin, assumedly that was probably prior to today, so am a bit confused, as there was contrary news stating that talks had been postponed for now. May be JD thinks he can go it alone, or with someone known to him whom he trusts. Interesting to see how he does finance it if he is about to make an offer.

Also the msn article by The Independent 2 hours or so ago states that JD is in discussions with financiers, but this morning it was stated that talks had been called off, so which is it? either way, does it matter, he will be able to raise finance even if he has to foot the majority of it himself imo.

Sorry should have made it clear 18 million + bought at a cost of around 7.5 million sterling. There could be an offer on Monday if JD has surpassed that 4%!

Needs 4% which is around 4 million shares give or take a few, and 7.5 million near enough have been bought today so far. He could have reached that 30%

Hopefully Dunkerton in a rush to get that 4% in the bag and get this over the line before anyone else makes a move to buy out.

Certainly not rick, but I have shares in both isa and my trading account, and I'm over 100% up on both right now. I'm happy to take the risk. I'm sure Dunkerton will want to take the company back in to private ownership, who can blame him, it was his baby from the start, and he now has children whom I'm sure he would love to take an active part in the business. he also has his hotel group and the cider company, so he will perhaps amalgamate in to Dunkerton Holdings or something like that. If he does us proud with a great offer of around £1 per share, I'll be buying a lot more goodies from his wife, and if he doesn't, I won't! By the way, purchase her rose oud candle, it will put you into good books with the other half if you have one! Also, the packaging for all of her products is exquisite.

He only needs another 4% of the shares, and he has the 30% required to make an offer for the company, would make sense for him to increase his stake in order to do that imo.

TSSZ everything is being bought up, so as soon as someone sells, someone else is taking!

JD will take this back, I don't think he will be dishonourable with the pay out to do so, his reputation would suffer if he were imo.

Roughly speaking thats 74 million shares he would need to buy. At say £1 ps that would be an absolute steal for him. Did someone say he could offset tax against the debt?

Owns 26% of the business. With 99.06 mill shares or so less his 26%, even £1 ps would seem cheap for him to offer if he really wants to take it private again I'm sure. imo.

JD is worth 441 million min!

Theyve needed a few sells to let some in, they've got them now, but it's tight, the question is, who is buying them as it may not be peeps who are getting first bite!
