2020 was the worldwide pandemic, what are you bitter about Anegada? companies had to raise at that time to survive due to complete lockdowns. RR employ a large number of staff. What did you expect? they've come out of it quite well all told, and now have a number of contracts in the pipeline, as they roll in, the company's debt position will reduce considerably, then return to profitability, and I'm sure RR will reward investors for their patience in due course, the sp has already rewarded a lot of you so be grateful if you've been that lucky. Others are not so fortunate, and are living in poverty worldwide.

where have you been for the last few years trello? you have to sell, wait for the funds to clear in the hl account, transfer them to your bank account, and then transfer back out to your stocks and shares isa and then re-purchase. it takes a few days, it's not automatic like it used to be years ago!

Don't forget the sp was £9 pre pandemic. It will find its way back to £7 easily on more contract news and there are contracts in the offing so I am told.

On the bed and ISA front, HL don't allow you to transfer, you have to cash out, wait for your funds to clear in to your bank account, transfer back to HL in to your ISA account. Experience tells, at least imo, that it's best to wait until the majority have done it and the sp has re-stabilized itself, but it's your decisions of course as no one knows whether the sp will rise exponentially in the process or drop off! Personally, I always wait for a few days after the 5th. GLA

Personally, as time has marched on, I am beginning to think that JD got his timing wrong on this, and he should have waited until later in the year to make his bid. If he shuts up now, I think he has to wait 6 months before he can put up again, and I would have thought that would be a better time to do so. I think Kempner and others have told him his timing is wrong, and they will probably back him in 6 months time when they see an improvement in the business overall, although it might mean a slightly elevated buy out price, it would stand JD in better stead.

Fordy, the 50,000 sell was mine, I'm not totally out, but much reduced.

I'm virtually out, the money was made on the rise, and if your money isn't working for you, put it somewhere where it will, and so I've taken the hit following the retrace and topped up in the roller.

I hope it comes good, but the longer it goes on, the more I tend to think that JD is struggling to get the finance, and he will go for another extension, but that nothing will come of it, and then it's a question of whether he will put his own hand in his pocket to finance the debt in the interim, and I don't think he will.

It's always a hard lesson learned, but never trust anything anyone says, especially CEOs/Chairpersons of companies, they got to where they are for a reason, and it's not always by playing with a straight bat.

Lets just 'speculate' that RR has some very specialised account handlers, hypothetically speaking, of course! (imo!).

Correct Nettles, it will come sooner imo, you don't know what's in the pipeline, the roller is on a roll again, wait and see, they have a number of hefty contracts in the pipeline, as I understand it.

My source has 'knowledge' of RR on a personal level, as I indicated a couple of weeks ago, this person states £7 ps easily achievable.

No hostile bids indicated, yet the company has its lowest mcap in recent times. Effectively JD could buy the company for peanuts, but what does he do about the debt? worst case scenario, is he prepared to fund that debt himself?

Retail sales up, so revenue should be improved.

IP sale monies to come in which should help to reduce the net debt situation considerably, but company's accounting year ends in April (?) so do they want to hang on until the start of the new financial year to feed that sale in to the new tax year?

And I know you'll laugh, but Jade hinted last night on insta that she might well be starting her own fashion label, 'Jade', so what exactly is JD's plans?

Those non binding offers were never made public by the way, so shareholders never had any details, and they were hidden by the company behind supposed NDAs.

anyone remember this farsical situation with eurasia? whilst the company put itself up for sale, it appeared there never was a serious bidder and 4 years + on from the start of it, there has never been a sale or any likelihood of one!

in order for the top to grant another extension, i think the board would have to communicate to shareholders what exactly has been going on to date! imo.

Fordy, there is a bit of a grey area over offers and announcements -

"when a firm intention to make an offer is notified to the target board by or on behalf of a bidder;"

then an announcement has to be made, according to the City Code, but it states "firm", so that doesn't preclude sounding out the Board without stating it's to be considered a "firm" offer. He's taking a huge risk if he gets it wrong, so you'd expect him to have some 'without prejudice' type discussions with the Board, as he is a part of the Board anyway.

Noob, got you, apologies, but I'm rather surprised he's having a debate with a poster from here, first rule of thumb is never engage with posters from a share chat site on a professional 'marketing' site. Contacting CEOs etc is different, if you're a bona fide shareholder and want to engage if they will engage, as you are a shareholder and entitled to have queries answered, where possible, but making contact with someone who on the share chat site carries an anonymous persona, even if they have revealed who they are when making contact on LinkedIn, is not a good look, and not when there is a bid situation in situ here!

I read his profile Noob before anyone else here, as soon as their purchase was declared. Whilst the rns will hold the correct info 'Ian Kellett & spouse', it doesn't mean to say that someone suddenly posting here as Ian Kellett is him. I have my doubts! if it is him, why doesn't he refer to the spouse who shares in the holding? and might know JD, that's what I find odd. No point in whoever pretending to correct themselves now!
