The problem is they do it in cartels, and the ordinary investor has no chance against an organised shorting crew, in 20+ years I've been investing, I could name 100's of companies whose share prices have been savaged by shorting cartels. It needs to be banned, peeps have been calling for it to be banned for years, it doesn't much to ban it, so why doesn't Labour tackle it and actually do something positive for the markets. Other countries don't allow it, so why should we allow robin hood shorting gangs to take destroy other peoples hard earned cash and put companies out of business?

LandOwner is 100% right, shorting crews ruin companies with their antics, and the FCA so spineless as usual does absolutely nothing about it. Jo LuckyBear just done that but still says 'loading portfolio' on main screen, cash tabs etc all working fine, just the portfolio one. So annoying, been with them for years and the service is just getting worse.

Swanley, thanks, I haven't had the flu vaccine last year nor the year before, as a 'locum' GP told me not to have any more vaccines so I took him at his word. He was adamant, so prior to that, I'd had it for the previous 8 years, and paid for it privately, but not this last autumn nor the one before, as that GP told me that in March 2023.

A friend of mine has learned just last week, that a member of his golf club has died from it, and the hospital said this is what it is! 61 years of age, fit as a fiddle, played golf twice a week, caught it, and was dead 2 days after it started, as it turned nastily in to pneumonia. This is why everyone needs to be especially careful with this one this year, it's a really nasty strain.

The emerging flu pandemic will help, I've got it myself, so won't be venturing out for a good while, not worth the risk of getting it again once this lot of it has gone, hopefully. It isn't pleasant, that's for sure! So I suspect online grocery shopping is going to be on the up again :)

I would add this from a personal perspective, I use Deliveroo a lot, as I can get groceries within 15/20 mins in SW London with Deliveroo, and when I'm on my own, that useful, as I don't tend to waste as much food as if I buy for say a weekly delivery, but M&S is not on Roo nor through Ocado, and I think that is an opportunity missed, as Deliveroo is exceptionally busy in my area also. Waitrose is on the Roo, and I've ordered from Waitrose through Roo, but always always, things are missing or not available on the order, so Waitrose usually comes low down in the pecking order for me. If Ocado could get themselves on Roo somehow, I reckon that could be a bonus, as I would definitely utilise that for M&S food puchases.

Yet their grocery stores in SW London are always busy and at Christmas time they were heaving. The same market capture as M&S, so from a stores perspective, I would say they are equally if not busier down here, but from a delivery perspective, I've no idea on that.
