Yes starboard , was thinking in te same line. Above a direct payment of the costs already made by tullow of 1.8 bln some stake like in the Uganda deal . For ex. 3-5 % of bopd if oil price is above X (60?). Or something along those lines.

Adieu, i do agree it would be great to get 1.8 bln and instantly be dead-free. However, i kinda feel there could be a better deal to be made. I am interested in your opinion on this.

Adieu, that doesn't sound like a good deal to me. so after 10 years of work, setting up the final partners for kenya, taking all the financial risks, and spending 1.8 bln we get no oil, only our investment back and nothing for all the risk and work undertaken?

Don't agree scrodinger. it does make it more likely. Rahul has more to offer now and less complicated discussions about shares with the other partners.

But tlw was the company that invested the most sitar. And considerably according to their own market cap (same amount for total (partner) would have been differently. I think tullow should not just be reward their investment but should also be rewarded for their risk taken. Any price should always include that factor too imo.

Poeple always look at the 500mln that was paid for Uganda but it is much more if you take into account the yearly payments when taken in to production.

however, i expect a much better deal than 750mln for 40% of tullow's stake in Kenya. would be very disappointed if that would the result.

East African Crude Oil Pipeline (Eacop) still planned to go live in 2025 I believe. Now estimated at 200k b/pd. The deal was around 2,5 or 3% per barrel of oil if oil price was above 70$. Needless to say the debt and 100mln annual payment is NOT ANY ISSUE!

Clungeseeker, the debt has been discussed in multiple updates by Tullow. It is not an issue. Tullow has a time frame, and currently making money.
