“Guercif is not just another exploration licence. It’s a frontier basin with the kind of geological attributes rarely found together: multiple stacked plays, biogenic and thermogenic gas systems, a massive carbonate dome structure, and extensive fault networks that provide ideal migration pathways for both gas and helium. What makes it even more exceptional is that these systems are accessible at shallow depths due to tectonic uplift and inversion — meaning world-class reservoirs can be accessed cheaply and quickly.
Why This Geology Is So Unique:
Multi-play system: Miocene sands (MOU-1, MOU-3), TGB sands, Ma sands, and Jurassic carbonate (MOU-5) provide vertical play options.
Deep charge + shallow access: A deep thermogenic source rock system fuels the structure from below, while structural uplift brings the targets within 1,200–2,000m — much shallower than comparable plays.
Fault-driven migration: Vertical faults serve as natural conduits, carrying gas and helium from deep sources into stacked traps.
Domerian Carbonate Dome: This 187 km² Jurassic structure could rival supergiant carbonate plays in Oman, Algeria, and Texas.
How MOU-5 Serves as a Delineation Well
MOU-5 was not designed to hit the crest of the Jurassic carbonate dome but to step out into a previously undrilled flank area. As such, it acts as a delineation well — helping define the outer edge and geometry of the Titanosaurus structure.
Hit target zone 100m below crest: Suggests a larger structural height.
Confirmed reservoir presence: 50m of Domerian carbonate hit, plus 30m of new sand below.
Helium show: At 1557 ppm, supports deep fault-assisted gas and helium migration.
Validates carbonate model: Confirms the carbonate dome exists, contains reservoir quality rock, and is gas-charged.
This sets the stage for a high-impact crest well — likely to test maximum column height, flow potential, and commercial scalability.
If Guercif is sold to a major:
Valuation uplift could be 100X -200X current market cap depending on reserves confirmed.
Special dividends or buybacks could return capital to shareholders.
Share price could rise from 3.25p to several £’s Per share.
