Big write up in Irish Independent today. Haven't read it yet as watching the rugby.

The Providence Redemption!
Ranger we must have done something wrong to be doing this kind of time!
Maybe that’s why they’re protesting in Hong Kong! All jokes aside Col, apart from something tomorrow morning, time will have evaporated any excuse. Only excuse after tomorrow is monies have fraudulent ties.
Chef there's another man we wouldn't miss but could PVR exist without an O'Reilly or are we about to be swallowed up by Tullow or morphed into some form of mini Tullow entity (T5). Actions speak louder than words!
Was it not obvious to us with all the layoffs (O'Sullivan in particular) that the money was never coming? Problem with most of us long termers is that we're gambling with money that we wrote off years ago in one way or another. Is the wrong PVR man gone out the door and should O'Reilly be allowed to even mention dilution without resigning in the same RNS? Some neck!
In Dublin not London. Doh!
Lads if the city rumour is true someone in HSBC in London might have seen the transaction coming in and spread the word. Might be another day or so before it is cleared. Maybe no gossip/proof in London. Wishful thinking or what!!
Hon the PVR!! Come good for all us losers:)!
I suppose if the survey goes ahead in the next couple of weeks Barryroe woul be sheltered and shallow enough to start a campaign in September. Experience would point to be quarter next year!
Hopefully Mamms. Had sold 30000 ( a third of my holding) shares in London a few weeks back for 11.5p when I couldn't figure out what was going on. Bought back 20000 yesterday in Dublin late days for 11.8cent as I figured there was a bit of brinkmanship going on. Not that it's big bucks but it would have annoyed me if something good comes of the carry on here having been here this long. I've a lot more to gain than I have to lose here. Any loses would be well factored in at this stage:)!
This Irish government can't afford to be seen as being bad for business at the moment especially with so much at play on the horizon. Also Junior has them over a barrel with his threat of legal action. Can't go issuing licences and then pull the rug when companies have done all the hard work monetising them. Hence Junior going public with the legal threat, Dccae announcing Barryroe development is Kosher environmentally and APEC holding fire until the license is granted. We're not even the main event here at the moment. Exxon and CNOOC currently risking big bucks in the Porcupine. Maybe it suits the lads to delay this whole thing a bit at this stage after Brid had her day in court to guarantee her re-election. We're gone too late in the year now to start drilling offshore Ireland. Timing good now for license to be granted, survey carried out early Autumn and wells planned for Spring next year. Add to that the possibility of a positive Porcupine result putting wind in the sails:)!
Cheers Anovas, sure does give the PVR lobby good pressure power with the government!
Lads surely all this fuss is dependent on licences being granted. Could be naive and basically wrong but I wouldn't pull the trigger on the house in the south of France if my solicitor didn't have the deeds. As I see it the money is in transition with a hold on it. Most people who have millions don't throw it at the wind despite the perceptions of wealth and easy money from the east!

Brid would need protests like these to get her bill over the line in this age of Leopolitics!!

Sorry don't have the access. Read it is the hard copy!
You have a point Manyana. David Horgan on RTE 1 from Petrel Resources talking about supply issues for Western Europe due to the issues in the Middle East. Also linking the issues in Venezuela with the rise in Oil Prices. Worldwide supply issues and an increased demand for oil which renewables can't yet negate are causing a spike in Oil Prices. Maybe American geopolitical policy is driving this rise but all these factors will focus the Oil Industry on offshore Ireland. Another full page article in the Irish Independent today talking about oil supply issues for Western Europe after the attacks in the Gulf. If we get a perfect storm against oil supply along with a couple of positive results from the current Nexen campaign there will be a queue at Junior's door and Brid's relevant whinging will become a drowned whimper. Will Junior still hve a door if Apec don't come up with the goods? There's no fear of Brid she'll retire after a spell in Europe to guarantee the double pension. With PVR financed for at least another year or two all it means for us is another year or two of never ending investor hardship! All the best!
Probably make it 20 times worse if anything Manyana. She won't care if the lights go out. Carbbit Old Hippy would probably enjoy it. I should know, got a bit of hippy in me myself from years ago that I can't seem to shake!
Looks like it's Check Mate then Manyana no matter what Brid says. I'm all for protecting the environment but with her it all just seems like a pursuit of political capital! All the best!
Didn't have time to coment this morning but Brid Smith was on national radio this morning in Ireland giving out about Marine Resources Minister Sean Canney trying to stop the climate Bill for economic reasons. She was making quiet the fuss as in one who was swimming against the tide. Looks like Sean is under pressure to get all the loose ends tided up and is hoping for some judge to have it quashed for the foreseeable future. Probably under pressure from folks like PVR and the Oil and Gas lobby threatening that finance will be lost for planned projects. Not only will this be a huge loss to Ireland with the prospect of a successful drilling campaign. Could there be a possibility of libel if granted licenses are revoked with money already spent at the planning stage. These Wells are going ahead. Expect PVR to be granted permission in the next week or two. Whether Apec come up trumps is another story. Wishful thinking would have us believe that they are waiting on the go ahead before pulling the trigger!
