the irony is that the Sami were not and have never been a statutory consultee for this process. There is no legal obligation to consult them about anything. The courts have said it might be good practice but there is no obligation on the Gov't to consult or listen to them - this was for the MI to decide after consulting the CAB.

Oh, no need to worry about me - I'm still in profit - even my trade last Friday is up. This is when you need to buy - when everyone else has got bored/forgotten about this share (I was buying at 1.5p) - that won't be the case in a month or so.....

I agree. The final decision, to approve (how can they possibly, legally refuse! there are no legitimate arguments presented to show that the mine cannot coexist on the site) will be appeal proof. The samis have had more opportunity than they could ever hope for to present their case. Ironically they would have stood more chance on appeal if they could argue they had been ignored (but even that argument has been dismissed in the past on a similar case). I'm expecting good signs from the Government by April. This is really the last lap(p). Don't expect to be able to buy shares the morning the licence is announced......

God no......but I am going to have a go at the annual "I wonder when they will make a decision" contest. I say 5 May the Minister will indicate that the application appears to have satisfied the requirements. I am reluctantly prepared to accept a decision before that date. If that doesn't happen I will deny all knowledge of this prediction.

is out of the country for a while anyway - so he wouldn't be making any decision (or having any meeting about it) before the 19th I suspect - this won't be made by a junior civil servant - so no real injustice caused by this no matter how irritating it is.

this two week delay makes no difference to the final outcome. Anything under 8p will be a bargain in a month's time. Trust me. I have never been wrong about this before *chokes...*

This whole thing stopped being about mining years ago - it's politics pure and simple - he needs MPs on his side and get them asking difficult questions - civil servants hate that.
