OOps - well, as usual I get the social and sweden democrats mixed up (they really need to work on their names!)- anyhoo - an alliance with Social democrats would be just as good - they say they are pro mining - it's the influence of the Left and Greens that have held us back - such an alliance gov't would be fine for us I reckon.

I said last week that the Moderates would end up negotiating with the Democrats because all politicians want power but the right said they would NOT negotiate with the Sweden Democrats after the election - well, that didn't last long;

Sweden's parliament is set to open on September 25, and then within two weeks, if Prime Minister Stefan Löfven has not yet resigned, there will be a parliamentary vote of confidence in him.

If more than half of MPs vote against him, then the parliament’s speaker will propose a new prime minister.

The speaker can propose four different prime minister candidates. If all four are rejected by parliament, a new election will be called.

Alliance is right wing - so no chance of Greens being included in gov't. Alliance could either work with Social Democrats (centre left) - no need for Greens or Left - or Sweden democrats - v right wing.

Though the initial count is over, it is still far from clear what Sweden's next government may look like, with the current government intending to stay in place until parliament opens later in the month but the four-party Alliance saying it plans to seek a mandate to form a government.

CAB have been and gone - all up to Gov't and Mining Inspector now. These are the local elections - local Councillors etc rather than MPs. But it does show a growing dissatisfaction with the previous administration.

over there (0.66 - 3% up) as it's starts to dawn that they will soon have a gov't (even Social Democrats!) unhampered by the Greenies or Left and pro mining , pro jobs

my hope/expectation is that a new Gov't is formed by 25 September and a new Mining Minister is appointed who makes some clear noises about supporting mining (it's not just our licence that's been held up) - then a more specific nod in our direction - that will do for me. All do-able this year.

I find that if you open any Swedish document in Chrome it will off to automatically translate to English - v handy.
