You would not tell anyone you were about to hire a potential law breaker.
Problem may have been the time frame involved along with the belief you had the best candidate.
Only time will tell.
I would hope that if Patrick finds his position untenable he will jump rather than be pushed.
And it might depend on the seriousness of the purported, none of us are saints.
Just provides the knockers some ammunition.

Remember VRS are working with Addenbrookes.
Interesting to note that VRS were participants in this meet.
Sometimes what you don't know is more important than what you do.
NR does not always have to tell all, there are chats going on in every industry.
Extract from Nuc Decom Authority paper:-
The NDA as recently identified graphene technology as a potentially promising area...(edit).......graphene and its compounds that could enable the use of these.................
There is a broad range of research being undertaken by several research groups at UoM and Cambridge etc.
Haydale, Advanced Materials and (2DTech; being part of VRS of course) all get a mention in the paper quoted above.
I always thought that USA had its own supply/manufacture facility(s). I just felt that there was room in the market because the USA were at a position not dissimilar to the UK.
Don't know why I thought this, just assumed I suppose that they would.
I
Interesting Rocka.
Tweet from NR today, Capitol Hill gets a mention:-
Team working hard, more and more blue chip enormous companies working with us, international plans coming to fruition, guys at all the right places inc capitol hill , Berlin, Detroit.
Fair observation Rocka.
NGA.
They do not appear to have any USA government backing and there is the danger they could be a self imposed group who think they are important?
NR is an advisory to the board possibly for self interest?
I get the impression GB is well ahead of the rest of the world on graphene production whilst many other countries further down the road on direct applications.
Just a few thoughts on my part.

Great post RH and I would echo what NR has consistently referred to in mentioning not only Graphene but Nanene and Hexotene as well as referring to 2D materials man times. This suggests to me how aware VRS are of the variants of both materials and applications.
I would agree that it is difficult to change attitudes and the "Illuminati", but that does not mean you should turn your back on trying.
We all know the difference between right and wrong even if we turn a blind eye to it from time to time.
And time is what it might take to rid society of the shorters. They know they are in the wrong and continual shame may lead to them or procedures changing.
Rant of the day from me.
