Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
So! I am going into H&B Monday and it goes like this:-
“Excuse me Madam; would you have a small red pill made from tomato extract that is good for my circulation.
I heard on a tomato grapevine about it?”
“Yes sir. It’s called FF. Sorry, it is not in stock, but, I can get it for you.”
“It’s not a load of cobblers then. Cannot believe the World has never heard of it. How much does it cost?”
“X sir.”
“HOW MUCH!? I’m an old age pensioner, do you know?”
“Yes sir; but you will be one for much longer if you take this. And your wife will.
The improvement in your circulation will bring back your youth.”
“I can’t afford Durex and FF. I don’t usually come in here. Have you got anything cheaper?”
“No sorry sir.”
“Well, I have some cigs to buy and a few cans, and a bus to catch; can’t stop. Bye.”
Outcome of this sad tale:-
PXS have gone into administration. Shareholders are furious and in need of much FF in the hope they can stave off heart failure.
Hope you are of a disposition that fits this post, don't shoot the messenger.
Maybe I am being a bit daft or naïve here.
“You can go into the store and they will order it for you.”
Well, you have to know you want to order it; which means you have to know it exists and furthermore know you would like to take it and you can afford it etc etc.
If I wish to know about a new Dyson vacuum or new model Merc SLX I will not look on the Net.
I will see it first on another media, TV, Radio, paper media, or someone else using it; then I may go to the Net.
I have told many of my associates of FF, not one of them is using it and nearly all have forgotten our conversation.
I belong to an OAP group of 18 who go Tenpin Bowling. Not one of them knew of FF and only two had heard of Lycopene although most knew tomato was good for the diet. Only a couple used H&B and that was for the usual quick in and get out with what they wanted.
My sister never uses the internet other than social media, her husband has never held a modern phone never mind a computer, my Sister in Law only use it for keeping in touch with family as a messaging service. I am confident that those facts are not unusual within in many households.
Sad to say, somehow greater expensive media coverage will be required somehow.
China is as good a route to market as there is and will probably be the only viable route to market at the least cost.
Not sure that is satisfactory Alf.
Like myself most of those I tell that are in my social circle, means they are older, not computer literate and have no wish to be etc.
It is unlikely to meet the masses by going into selected stores.
Increasingly appears this company does not know where the truth lies. Excuse pun.
It is no wonder there is so much discontent when they say one thing and it turns out they have to clarify it means something else. I told friends it would be in HB, then in return they told me it was not in store. I said it is on its way and staff were being trained. I now have to go to those friends and tell them it might not be in your store etc.
Lost sales, because those friends will now probably ignore the product and place less credence in what I say..
Yes Burton, absolutely.
I do not know why it should be, but, this is a totally different company.
The guys who run it are some cases old mates been doing this and that and getting together now on this new adventure. More importantly you are constantly reminded that they care. They care about investors, they care about those who need support in the community, they care about the UK and so it goes on.
When those items were being auctioned I felt almost ashamed that I did not bid higher on some items knowing that in a relatively short time VRS would make me somewhat wealthier, therefore I could afford to bid higher for items knowing full well I would see my money back when the SP rises next time
Why did I not buy that rugby shirt, I wanted to but stopped bidding and someone else did not?
NR constantly mentions family and I to some extent I believe him.
I played golf with one of the exec's. What a nice down to earth guy with no sides to him.
I hope I am not wrong, I mention this company to my friends but leave the decision on investment totally to them.
What's not to like? I bought more yesterday.
GL and ATB all.
I have no wish to register on that chat board, been there done it.
Copy and paste?
Anyway I was there and played golf; will not say who with.
NR said in his presentation at the end; an RNS as far as VRS is concerned is quite often months out of date as far as investors are concerned. The company know every thing in an RNS long before it comes out. Therefore the company has well moved on since.
Also, the Far East is safely in the hands of Matt and Peter whilst he is now more concentrated on the US where he has several trips(4) and meetings planned.
NR also reiterated his previous observation; in that he has no need of the money; the company and those within it are and his investors are a family.
In conversation with golfing partners it was said that the company is excited by the interest shown with regard to graphene use in Stem Cell research. Obviously medical advocacy can take time, but such interest is encouraging.
If I recall anything further that is helpful to any of you I will post as and when.
Hi Jim. Just contradiction that you would suggest that a share was a strong buy whilst telling such buyers the share would almost certainly fall. Might upset those buyers somewhat; been better to hint at a buy when the share has fallen if it of course it were to.
Not argumentative at all by the way, just favour a good balanced discussion.
If you post on such boards you are seeking opinion of others are you not. If not maybe not post as dictators are unwelcome. I am gonna post and you cannot then respond or disagree or post alternatives; not wanted surely?
Hope that clears things up.
