Barna could they not do an ‘agreement in principle’ type thing? Otherwise what you’re saying is that ggp would have to raise funds approaching the whole worth of the company (and I believe there’s still a substantial debt owed to the old Newcrest now Newmont) and then pay it back following the listing. I agree they have a great team on the Board but that’s a lot of debt if something goes wrong or other delays. MH no probs, in all honesty I was thinking of going up to have a look so if I do it I will send some pics. Would be mid October. I think it would be interesting to see. I’m flying into Perth and heading up to Cairns so not exactly out of my way to stop off both a couple of days.

Good comment Dip. Nothing any of us say here makes a blind bit of difference to the sp. I simply can’t see how ggp will try to buy 70% and hav for more than the whole company is worth without a whopping debt ratio or/and with a placing. Either way I think the sp will fall back again. IMO. Regards 2026 production I think Bamps mentioned at least 12 months and the article about the sale mentioned early 2025 for funds issue so 12 months from 2025 is 2026. Plus finishing decline and lower aquifer. I’m in aus next month till new year so I’ll try to fly out and have a look!

Total guess James. Just based on previous lows and funds required for such a huge purchase and where the price is now. I think a vote will be required, certainly for a listing on ASX and I believe SD alluded to an equity raise on listing. I might well be wrong. It’s certainly interesting!

Hi James, I’ve been in and out for a couple of years but as I’ve said before, for me it’s too risky at the minute. When the listing goes on the ASX I’m thinking a massive equity placing, especially if GGP want the whole lot. If it gets back into the 5s at listing I’ll buy back in, 1.5 million shares as before. Then sit on it until production which I think will now be early 2026.

For GGP to buy Telfer and Hav you’d need to generate cash in excess of the capitalisation of the whole company. You guys as shareholders would have to vote on it. You’re getting ahead of yourselves. I hope you do buy the whole lot but I think it unlikely.

@sureblazes yes there’s lots of gold there but how much debt would ggp have to borrow all that money? The decline has stopped, there’s still the lower aquifer to go, there’s no income. A lot of expense. A good management team earning money from investors. Even if a bid comes in from another company it will have to go through the shareholders. I don’t see any production until 2026 now.

How? The only solution is for another company to buy Hav and Telfer. Rio? I doubt it. Ggp best solution, IMO, keep the 30%. Or sell the 30%. Or Newmont screw ggp, as before, and it’s never mined. Bamps I think was right about the Telfer problem. 2 billion share issue will never happen. Sorry for you all but I’m thinking 5p or less coming.

I’m interested to know how GGP would possibly finance buying Hav and Telfee? Somebody mentioned a 2 billion share issue. Almost half the company’s shares in circulation. Even then I’m not sure it would be enough because Newmont want cash. A share issue of 2 billion shares at let’s say 6p wouldn’t be anywhere near enough. I’m not even sure the legalities of issuing that many shares! Interesting times!

@hiphop - I listen to every town hall, I listen to everything SD says. Town halls are pointless. SD doesn’t want to be on AIM for obvious reasons. He admitted it himself. But you are right I’m not going to throw £100k at a dog. I want to check it’s a pedigree first. And has funding.

@trippytaka - good for you. However you didn’t answer my questions about Telfer? It appears that I, who admit own no shares, know more about GGP than you who owns 20m shares and another £200k to invest. I think we know who the lier is. Why not leave and let real traders and investors discuss a company?

@culpepper @chiffchuff - thanks, as per culpepper it is only good sense to ask questions about funding. It is not scaremongering. I’m not going to stick the best part of 100k into any company, let alone one on AIM, without seeing the details. As chuffchuff says yes I am very keen to invest (again) and this time hold it for at least 3 years. Ggp has real potential. But only when it resolves the partner/finance issue. Otherwise it’s too much of a risk.

Trippytaka do you actually hold any shares? You know I’ve ‘traded’ this various times. Let’s hear your opinions on the company?

Telfer. What do you think? Do you know what and where Telfer is?

How can GGP ‘afford’ it? Who’s going to finance them for that amount of money? What are the interest payments? For how long? On what terms? The debt would be astronomical! If and when Newmont sell the 70% GGP, I presume, will have to pay back the £25m (correct me if this figure is wrong) loan from Newcrest (now Newmont). Where does that come from? I believe GGP have a revolving credit agreement unused but at what rates? Do GGP need to build a new processing plant? How much to keep Telfer online and update it? Christ guys I could go on and on. I said it earlier Hav looks good and if SD and co resolve the issues it’ll be a great investment over 3-5 years IMO. But Newmont aren’t stupid and they’ll be asking a lot for the 70%. I’m a tiny PI and I’m asking these simple questions. I’m guessing most of you accept these are valid questions and hence there are risks?
