It could be one of many things. Some PIs will have invested here with hopes of Covid, I agree with previous posts, 4D was never a Covid share, just a possible help for the asthma trials. There could be a bit of manipulation with some larger investors getting in at lower prices, it's been happening at GGP for a few months now IMO. I 'traded' this share a while back when it was bouncing between 90 and 110 so it could be a bit of that too. It's AIM, so it will bounce all over the place without much reason. The RNS was positive but it was only an update, nothing special. I've said before, for investors this I think is a mid-long term hold hence I've got a decent bulk in my SIPP. Good to see that things are progressing though.

It is all well and good talking about Blautix like a "Starter" meal but 4D is burning money like nobody's business. They still haven't proved their technology. A phase 3 trial in Blautix is the holy grail. When they prove that then the big investors will come. Until then we are all simply guessing. Any bio company that even starts a phase 3 trial has done well. Then you have to successfully complete it. Hence the recent people that have been recruited. This company will win or fall on Blautix otherwise the cash will just burn up. I hope it works. GLA.

Hi Scrambler, I asked them about Blautix back in January and they said that they were looking for partners back then. I'd therefore expect that if they have found a partner it should be released within the next few months. Bear in mind it'll be their first Phase 3 trial it's a big deal for them so they will want to make sure they get the right partner to make it a success.

I've been in and out of this share for over a year now and it won't do much until a proper RNS is released concerning the phase 3 trials, Blautix. Also surprised we haven't heard anything regarding the asthma and linked to the covid trials they were running, news was due in May but I know they had issues with participant recruitment so hopefully something in next couple of weeks. Mid-term share to hold IMO. GLA.

Morning All, yep we just need a good announcement for Phase 3 Blautix with a strong partner and that will really help. Surprised they didn't try to time the announcement with the merger but I'm sure they would have tried and it's a really big step for the business.

Yes well done everyone, in some ways partly what these boards are here for. I know we're are only relatively small fry compared to some of the big stakeholders but all votes count, as one Mr. Trump certainly found out!!

I had a letter from the company (via II) stipulating how to vote to support the proposals. The letter stated to contact your broker with comments as follows should you wish to support the resolutions:

Just remember your wallet this time so that I don't have to pay your bar bill !! :-) Actually since we were discussing Astons I've been looking around for a Vantage roadster circa £30k mark. I can't afford a brand new one but the old Vantage roadster looks great and there are some out there with only 20-30k miles on the clock. I'd get the interior re-done since I like light interiors but thinking of getting one this time next year. Keep yourself safe mate and looking forward to a beer in a couple of months!

Hello Tom you old goat how's things? It's Howard by the way, bought in here back end of last week. Mid 20s share price seemed too good to miss, all the hall marks of MMs deliberately dropping the price following good RNS to allow IIs to buy in cheap, and 4D not doing much until their Nasdaq launch so thought the old piggy bank would be better topped up here. You got the Aston ordered yet?

Yes BuytoHoldForever I agree with 13thmonkey all very sensible questions and concerns, I can understand your position. 4D does have a high cash burn and will need the merger to take advantage of the 13m (I think) cash held of Longevity. That should set them up for 2021. There are many trials currently in progress, see the company presentation back end of last year to form your own opinion. I would guess that the Nasdaq launch will be a few weeks yet since even once the SEC filing goes through there will then need to be shareholder meetings to approve the merger etc. With a price of £1.10 already agreed I doubt the share price will move much around its current position until further news, in particular the Phase 3 start for Blautix which I think they'll announce together with the Nasdaq launch in order to create a bit of buzz. Like any share, always a risk but I personally think that patience is the key with 4D this year. DYOR and hope for the best!

This drop reminds me of my stake in 4D which soared up to 175p, got good RNS and then was pulled back to circa 100p just to allow the IIs to buy in big chunks at a better investment price. Very naughty but happens all the time.

On a slightly selfish note I'd be quite happy to see this fall a bit further today. I get paid tomorrow and was worried that it might rise up to the 120s again! Opportunity to buy below 110 is good news in my opinion.

I posted something on this a while back, there won't be any update till Q2 since they had delays in patient recruitment due to government supported schemes taking priority.

No I don't work for 4D but I do ask them questions every few months or so about updates etc. They are very good at responding to be fair to them. Alas Mansion you are displaying the characteristics of somebody who has previously had his or her fingers burnt by the company. 4D is like any other company on any stock exchange around the world, a gamble. AIM is even more of a gamble which is why many people lose a lot of money on AIM companies. All you can do is research a company and then hope for the best!

Mansion I'll think you'll find that most investors in 4D realise that it is still an exploratory company, as the company admits itself, in its early stages of clinical trials with many of its programmes (exc. Blautix which is about to enter phase 3). The reason why people are excited is because there are many different 'shots on goal' and the field in which 4d is specialising is very new to the market with unknown, and yes unproven, potential. Hence why Merck invested. I suspect many are hoping for a similar type result to Seres which rocketed on successful phase 3 trial. This is still some time away and of course, by no means a certainty, but personally if I wanted a certainty I'd invest in one of the big boys not an AIM company. 4D is a high cash burn company and will continue to be during the next 12-24 months at least. But why I suspect people are invested is because they see lots of potential moving forward, not just the next 2-3 months but more importantly 2-5 years.

A good summary there StarJump, hence why I'm in long term on the SIPP and at least 2021 for my ISA. The nuerodenegeration is one of the most exciting long term ones and 4D are very excited about that. The manufacturing facility is, as you say, very important.

I have no issue with them taking time to get the Phase 3 ready. It's a big opportunity and they will want to make sure they get the right partner and strategy in place. If anything it might be a smart play from the BOD to delay things a little. Let the current Covid frenzy ease off a bit then make a strong announcement in line with the Nasdaq listing. For me this was always a long term SIPP investment of 3-5 years. I've traded a few 10% gains when it was bobbing around the 90-110 mark in my ISA, seemed rude not to, but a strong share to hold for 2021 IMO.

I had a response from 4D recently concerning the Covid trials and that will be Q2 update due to slower than anticipated patient recruitment in part because of UK government policy of directing sites to prioritise government supported studies. In reality the Covid play is only a secondary item for the MRx-4DP0004 program, it's the asthma focus that is the primary push for 4D with that program. They will use the Covid side to potentially contribute to reducing the severity of the pandemic but also to generate valuable data for the ongoing development of the program with respect to asthma. An update with the Blautix Phase 3 trial would be great but I suspect they will hold that back for the Nasdaq launch to gee up the big investors.

Yes I agree, I think it was a genuine question. I don’t believe the other treatments are great to be honest but I’m not an expert. This is only a phase II trial, hence positive result will be good boost certainly but my interest is more about how the big investors may now change their perception on biotherapeutics. It would be a really strong signal that there is longevity in this field. Hence my long term goals here in addition to short.
