' “would produce enough hydrogen to meet a significant portion of the forecasted demand in the UK”'
We need as much generating power as we can muster. Nobody yet is really tackling the power generation required for trucks, buses, trains where hydrogen facilities are going to be needed as being more functional/attractive/desirable than batteries which carry impossibly heavy weight, have deteriorating power profile, generate emissions during their manufacture. What mW. power would be required to recharge container ships batteries in a practically short time to provide the equivalent of 100,000 hp for up to three months on a voyage, or equivalent of 18000 tonnes of diesel fuel. These ships will visit our country to deliver our goods and will need refuelling, (either electric or fuel cell)
Long term, I know, but we will eventually need to provide for it.
So buy now, quick.
So buy now, quick.
'The combustion engine will never work.
The earth is flat.'
I can never get my car to start so I use the starting handle, take the plugs out, put it in first gear and wind my way to work. Then I run it down the hill on the way back.
Do you often wonder what those big white things in the sky that go past us once every day are and where they go?
Sorry for the part repeat. My mind has a computer of its own
Be watchful though.
This virus has been around for only a few months and not all the world has yet been affected, if it ever would be.
We need to keep a tight watch on it and be forever vigilant.
Life will go on after the panic and the SP will recover to follow its natural progress.

We need to keep a watchful yet on it and be forever vigilant.
Does the virus know we are waiting for authorisation?
Hydrogen filled balloons, like Hindenburg, vented hydrogen when landing and height control, even back in the 18th century. I don't think any vented hydrogen burnt in air!!
A lot of false unqualified hot air going around about its danger.
The panic here seems to be greater than the epidemic is caussing.
Wonder how many Buffett has bought?
What we don't know is if this disease is one of the big things that Russia is liable to spread false news on, as it seems to be trying to disrupt everyone elsewhere.
Beware heralds bearing false news and think twice defore acting.
A fortnight quarantine does not seem quite long enough.
The four new cases did not catch it in this country, but on board the ship in Japan.
In my opinion.
If you read the report slowly you will see it says practical concept has yet to be proven, then a demonstrator built, then slowly roll into development and production. So many years away yet. Technology evolves, steam engine manufacturers switched to petrol engines, then to gas engines then to diesel now moving back to gas, even hydrogen. AFC may even be building these fusion reactors under licence one day to open up a more diverse product portfolio.
'they were an r&d company. Ever bought an incomplete product?'
Correct Muscorum.
I once worked for a company building big marine diesels. A new revolutionary lightweight engine was developed backed up by a boilerplate contract with the MOD for warship propulsion. While near the end of development of this engine and some problems not yet satisfactory resolved andwith three development and research engines still running, the company was bought out by a big conglomerate. Research budget was cut from 5% down to 2%. Within months the new sales department were selling the engine around the world to get back some of the money spent in buying the company.
|The unresolved problems now reared their ugly head and spares started to be flown around the world, some weighing tons. The MOD contract slowed down as machine shops couldn't cope with the increased demand and some engines failed.. The new owners had to increase the price of new engines to stop ship owners ordering them. After 10 years of development and less than a year in production, production stopped. The MOD re-engined their ships. Cost to the company - many millions. The company was again sold off - a very low price. Struggled for a few years - now no more.
That product was incomplete!
Beware the money men, WHO KNOW IT ALL!!!
Report is from US. Time they did some up to date research if they want to comment on this subject, but then they are only non technical reporters and won't know where to get the real information. And being US obviously want to rubbish anything from the rest of the world so that they please Trump.
At least we know where we are going with this and AFC is one business taking us there.
