If it is due to trying to please UK government then that's a shocker!!

We've been told affimer, affimer, affimer then suddenly the antibody in the test fails!!!

It's the antibody not the affimer.

As abdx have stated they will help with a replacement. Which is kind of good news as antibodies is an arm of thier business.

Abingdon confirms that it completed the technical transfer of the AffiDX® SARS-CoV-2 antigen lateral flow test assay product as planned. Technical transfer is the process of taking a developed product and optimising all processes and elements for mass manufacture. The final technical transfer batches were shipped to Avacta in mid-December 2021 with the products adhering to defined specifications and passing all quality control procedures.

Was complete mid December... Wtf.... Why didn't they tell anyone...

Any one know why they are using antibody and affimer?

How can this so called scientist explain how independent evaluations come up with such different answers to the PD process? Surely they should be investigating why? I know the answer and I have a GCSE in biology and chemistry.....

Not what I said sperenza, we have one of the best tests in the world.
What I said was UK government failure to recognise it might effect an FDA decision,
As the FDA did with Innova, they will perform thier own analysis and hopefully come out with the same result as avacta and medusa do.

Don't want to be negative but we thought we were a shoe in with the mhra too.
Would the US view the UK's failure to use us as a negative?

Would be very news worthy and damning on UK gov if the US start using a British designed, British manufactured test..

They still only got the rspt test in the shop, but I guess they are trying to clear them out
