Would be interesting to see what the US Analysts think about RR - I mean those analysts who have been doing calculations for Tesla, Facebook etc.

Why do you think financial journalist talking about investing in Rolls Royce the company, has Rolls Royce Car fronting his recent article not the Aircraft Engines ?

That’s because he is fully aware that many of his readers/investors associate the name RR with the car, not with Aircraft engines powering Airbus, the SMR and other products that RR supply.

People are willing to pay high for quality products.

Take Nike trainers costing £120+. You can buy a similar quality pair at Primark for around £16 - £18.

Go down to Starbucks for coffee and cake, you can do it for less than a £10. But if you wanna go to Ritz, Psccadilly for the same it’ll cost you around £100 and you’ll have to wait 3-months for the privilege.

It’s the mind set, some people are willing to pay big bucks to be part of it.

Look at the valuation put on Tesla ($1+ trillion) Apple computers, ( $3.4 trillion), Nvidia ($4.25 trillions) Facebook, a platform for nothing much more then social chit chat and tittle tattle, coming in at $1.8Trillions.

By comparison, world famous RR even in its current form looks undervalued.

Rolls Royce ain’t Rolls Royce without its car, that’s what made the company famou and great.

RR SP would easily double or triple if it had the car division under its belt. It the famous name and many are willing to pay much higher prices just to be seen associated with the brand. Just like Nike.

I feel certain that a lot of small timers have been buying into RR because they wrongly think they are buying bit of its famous car !

AZ, yep the world famous name Rolls Royce is deeply embedded in public’s mind.

They often associate it with the cars bearing that name. Hardly anyone knows about their aircraft engines, or nuclear powered submarines they running on RR engines.

I’d say RR should buyback the Card Division instead of buying back own shares.

Seems RR has pulled in lots of new investors recently largely because of the rich rewards to be had from its SMR Division.

It’s worth keeping in mind that Not long ago, RR were prepared to sell off its SMR division ( to the Americans), because of huge cost over-runs in its Research and Development.

So, Don’t be surprised if in a few years time SMR Division gets floated as a separate entity, but with RR keeping a majority stake and its overall control. A move that would help bring in much needed cash for ongoing R&D.

Sometime ago, I saw it on Zak Mir tip list along with others - SOLG, MTL, RKH, GSCU, WSBN, etc but didn’t pay much attention to it.

Late comers need to watch every step carefully.
