These directors buys are a significant statement on their confidence in the company, and must impact on the share price eventually. And when iit does, the share price should fly.

I only hope it doesn't increase significantly until after 26th February , as I am buying more with the dividend.

...the way the market is behaving at the moment, I suspect down.

If Brexit is ever sorted out, then this share will increase significantly imho.

What are they up to? They bought 1.2% extra shares mid January, then sell most now?

So it could add c£30 million to the cost of purchase price.

Like others, I hast lost a lot more than £1,400, but where would compensation come from? The company or a central pot like the FCA?

One assumes Flybe doesn't have the money, otherwise they wouldn't be selling the family silver.

Your comment about rappers/derampers is very valid with this board. No one seems to offer any facts, just "I think there is going to be a counter bid" or "the company is going into administration".

On what grounds are you expecting a counter bid?

By accepting the Virgin offer and the continued sell off of the family silver, it seems the company is n a much worse financial state than is realised.

Wonder if Scully1234 has returned yet?

Surely Virgin are the only company who are officially looking at putting a bid in. But they have not yet officially bid.

The rest, e.g. Stobbart, IAG, and EasyJet are just rumours.

With the work the board has done to improve Flybe's position, I am happy if no one puts a bid in.

It will be in interesting to see how "The Donald" reacts if the Fed raise interest rates.

Although supposedly independent of him, he seems to be asserting a lot of effort on the Fed not to raise interest rates. Could he demand the resignation of the Fed chairman HE appointed one wonders.

I am a long time holder (with an average these newbies would shudder at), so have no wish to see Flybe fail.

If the jewel in our crown are the Heathrow slots, where is the incentive to buy the company as a going concern? Vultures picking over the bones is the big fear.
