You are right of course this is a win win...win we get sold; win we stay independent, and us old time holders have averaged down during this non crisis.

Wouldn't some bidders prefer a fire sale where they can cherry pick the parts of the company they want, rather than buying the whole thing?

If bidders are buying up shares, and shooters are out, why is the this share not rising?

I would personally prefer IAG to win as I collect Avios and normally fly couple times a year with Flybe to Bergerac.

.....also I can't see how the hanger deal was done in a couple of days, so I wonder if more deals like that are in the works.
