This is my understanding on the timings:

Admission of GRL Shares on ASX 4 p.m. AEST (7 a.m. BST) on Monday 23 June (The ASX closes at 4 p.m. AEST, so not actually traded on the ASX on the Monday)

Admission of, and dealings commence in, the GRL Shares on AIM 8.00 a.m. BST (5 p.m. AEST) on Monday 23 June

Quotation on and dealings become effective on the ASX Tuesday 24th June 10 a.m. AEST (1 a.m. BST) which is the normal ASX opening time.

Hi Saber, I see where you're coming from on the timing (Greatland being in WA), but the ASX is based in Sydney, so, in relation to UK BST they're only 9 hours ahead in relation to AEST.

...Which is still, of course, subject to the shareholder vote, but, pretty much a forgone conclusion, with the institutional investors input to Shaun Day to date.

No, quotation on, and dealings in GRL become effective on the ASX at the normal ASX opening time of 10 am (AEST) on the 24thJune. That is at 01:00 BST on the same day.

Keith Bowman, equity analyst at ii notes that Greatland’s popularity likely comes from investors’ desire for gold exposure after the yellow metal “rose by close to 5% and helped to bring gold plays to the attention of investors”.

No worries MH01. I think that because it's in their Precious Metals Update, as opposed to being a GGP specific rating, it got a bit hidden, as I only just found it too.

I know that many of us can certainly agree with that, and it's been posted on here by many too, in relation to our peers!

Hi Tony, as it's a cross-listing, where the same shares are traded on both AIM & ASX, the sp should be almost identical across both exchanges, after you account for the AUD/GBP exchange rates. This is basically down to arbitrage, as traders will take advantage of any difference. There could be other slight differences though, due to the likes of transaction costs & liquidity though too.

I wouldn't worry about him Chuffchuff, because I don't understand what he's on about either. We're clearly all well aware about the Scheme of Arrangement, and what it means for shareholders, and my post, as you understand, and most people would, was just to be helpful and advise that the information is now being posted on one of the platforms. I don't know about the other platforms (I haven't seen it on ii yet), but Fidelity have just posted the 'Corporate Action' for GGP/GRL on my ISA account with them:

And, as Shaun Day stated on Sunday, when stressing the put options, he said that they were "cheap insurance to buy", and providing a balance between record gold prices now, with no upside loss, and protecting any downside.
