Thanks for your post. I agree, I don't see the logic in why a RNS is badly needed? Sure, if it's positive, but what if it's not?!

Quite frankly I'm getting very bored at the constant posts that seem to believe that there is nothing that can happen, whatsoever, unless it's positive for Greatland Gold! It's rarely been that way in any investment, especially mining! if you think that it will be, you're probably living on another planet to me!

If we see more positive results from Havieron, then, surely, we'll see a responsive rise in the GGP sp.

If we see positive results from Scallywag then we could see a significant rise in the sp.

If we see negative drilling results at Scallywag, we'll probably see a large negative retracement in the sp.

IMHO, it's actually pretty simple, and largely, you pays your money, you takes your choice!

Ord Minnett points out a maiden resource at Havieron (Western Australia) is expected in the current quarter ahead of the commencement of an exploration decline and a pre-feasibility study late in 2021. Drilling updates are pointing to a larger orebody with increased potential for a bulk mining scenario.

Yes, apologies, I agree Bully, that was what I meant and sorry if misunderstood. Clearly you would expect assays in that timeframe from each drill. I'm also now moving towards expecting a full set, rather than individual, but only time will tell.

TBH I don't expect anything more than the latest Greatland Gold presentation material, unless Callum says something unexpected (ie. that he shouldn't have done!), maybe if there's a Q&A.

It's Gervaise Heddle's personal domain to release any new/ important information about Greatland, definitely not Callum's.

I don't remember GH stating that they would have some results in 6-8 weeks after drilling started at Scallywag, but I'm more than happy to be proved wrong...

Safe haven support sent the gold price higher this week as more cases of COVID-19 were reported in the White House, causing disruption in the market.

A weaker US dollar also worked in the yellow metal’s favor, with investors looking to hedge against currency debasement and inflation. The other precious metals also benefited from the rally and were sitting in the green on Friday (October 9) morning.

The broader base metals sector performed positively too, and edged higher throughout the week.

After a brief dip to US$1,876.50 per ounce, gold was on track for a second consecutive week of gains. Renewed optimism that a US stimulus deal could be reached in the coming weeks pushed it higher.

“Should spot gold be able to notch a higher high past the US$1,920 resistance level, that should confirm its recent uptrend over the past fortnight and assure its grip on the US$1,900 handle for the near future, provided dollar doesn’t throw a wrench into the works,” FXTM market analyst Han Tan told Reuters.

Gold exchange-traded funds also continue to grow at a record-setting pace. They added US$60 billion (1,000 tonnes) worth of gold to their holdings from January to September, as per the World Gold Council.

At 10:44 a.m. EDT on Friday, an ounce of gold was valued at US$1,926.80.

I agree 100%.

Callum won't add anything much new, if anything at all, because that's GH's territory, and has always been so!

At the same time I'm not convinced we'll see any Scallywag assay results in the next week either.

IMHO we may well see GH delaying these until they have a full set. That could well be another 6-8 weeks.

Like everyone else, who know's?

However, GH being the canny player that he is, he'll release the results when it suits him and the company, not necessarily what some/many of us wish for.

The presentation by Callum Baxter, Chief Technical Director at Greatland Gold, is this coming Monday, 12th October at 1.40 PM. They are 7 hours ahead of us, so at 6.40 AM UK TIME.

IMHO, I agree! A further delay doesn't realistically relate to the 20%+ drop in the sp this week.
