I'm sorry if this sounds defensive again, but I honestly believe that a whole load of, mainly, relatively new investors in Greatland Gold, just don't appreciate the considerable length of time it takes for any mining/mining exploration company to prove up it's assets. It's not a quick buck, unless you want to trade on the usual medium/long term news. BTW, that's no issue for me, everyone to their own! However, again, IMHO, the real bucks come from those that wait, but not based on nothing, based on the fundamentals! DYOR

I accept that camperdown, and it's classical AIM territory, but that's where any investor probably needs to make a decision as to whether they look at any investment in terms of being short, medium, or long term.

Medium to long term the fundamentals are important, clearly! As I've stated many time before, the current sp is underpinned, easily, and then some by Havieron alone, which is a growing resource, and, IMHO, will grow considerably further for some time to come. That's not even taking into account our other considerable assets!

Anyway, I'll stop banging on. If I was doing this in person I'd have lost my voice by now, many times over.

Newcrest Mining has recorded a 6 per cent increase to its gold production at the Telfer gold-copper mine in Western Australia in the March quarter.

Telfer’s higher production was delivered due to a throughput rate increase and gold recovery improvement.

At Telfer, Newcrest produces gold-copper concentrates, which are exported to the eastern Asia region, and gold dorè that is refined at the Perth Mint in Western Australia.

The company produced 105,228 ounces of gold at Telfer in the March quarter, compared with 98,855 in the previous period.

According to Newcrest, this has offset the 4 per cent decrease to the total gold production for the quarter.

The decrease, which was anticipated in the December quarterly report, saw the company produce 512,424 ounces of gold, down from 535,477 in the previous period.

This was due to planned shutdown events at the Cadia gold operation in New South Wales and the Lihir gold operation in Papua New Guinea....

....Thursday’s latest report from Newcrest, with new results from the growth drilling programme at Havieron, included results from four new holes after infill drilling within the project’s inferred mineral resource boundary. All intersected “significant mineralisation” at the JV....

...Greatland chief executive Shaun Day was happy with the JV’s progression so far, praising “another set of excellent results” as further proof of Havieron’s “world-class potential”.

“With the 2021 65,000m drilling campaign well underway and the early works programme progressing at pace, we look forward to updating the market on the continuing progress at Havieron,” Day said....

I totally understand! You know what though, if you gave me a quid each time I heard that over the past 3 years of being a GGP shareholder I'd be a rich man! It is what it is, it's AIM! The share is underpinned, and then some, by Havieron alone, and that's without all of our other holdings. That's essentially all that's important to me and why I largely ignore these types of movements. GLA

Tried to buy some as it dropped. They take it down to 20.5p, but absolutely nothing was offered on the fall until it had recovered back to 22p. Was anyone actually able to buy anything below 22p?

I can't think of any other mining related share right now which is clearly underpinned, and then some, by one ever growing resource holding (Havieron), in one of the safest jurisdictions in the world, and which is only a part of our portfolio of tenements.

IMHO, there are some strange posts on other threads today!

These latest results, although limited, as we'd expect, are still superb and continue to indicate that Havieron could be one of the biggest motherlodes in a generation, or more.

ALL of the new drill holes continue to show that it's open in all directions and at DEPTH (Just look at the initial South East Crescent growth hole which confirmed extensions of mineralisation in the South East Crescent beyond
the 4200mRL (1050m from surface))!

Furthermore, we had increased confidence in the size of the breccia mineralisation in the Northwest of the system which highlights the potential for bulk mining outside of the South East Crescent zone.

Pretty much all buys after 3 PM, and I'd maybe expect some cheeky late buy trades appearing later.... But what do I know?!

Apart from anything else, IMHO, I'm looking forward to the superlatives tomorrow, and I really don't see anything changing in that regard...

Gervaise Heddle pretty much used all available superlatives up, at least once, over the past few years.

Shaun Day better be careful because he used at least three alone, after the last Havieron results, "Stunning", "Outstanding" & "World Class"!

He better be careful because, as we all know, there will probably be numerous more times that they'll all be required going forward, and let's hope it progresses further tomorrow!

IMHO it is what it is...Maybe we'll get fireworks, maybe we won't, but trying to predict what will happen, yet again, after the next Newcrest report is like, maybe, a blindfolded person attempting to pin the tail on a donkey! Seriously!

I'm not expecting anything out of the ordinary (usual!), but if it is, well, then, clearly that's great.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the largest moves in the sp have rarely happened immediately after, or indeed before, a drilling report. They've happened later, when, maybe again, the market hasn't expected it!

Whatever, maybe it'll be different tomorrow....

It appears to me that the Greatland Gold PR activities have stepped up a gear over the past few weeks, with timely comments and releases.

"Resource growth provides substantial catalyst for shareholder value"

Which was clearly also stated a few weeks ago by Shaun Day.
