It's my understanding that, as per the earlier notification, they've now officially taken over some of the Scallywag tenements (Black Hills (E45/4512), Paterson Range East (E45/4928) and Black Hills North (E45/6134)) and the Panorama project, comprising Panorama (E46/1166), Panorama North (E45/4936) and Panorama East (E46/1170).

However, what I haven't figured out is exactly what the ongoing relationship with us is, whereby, as in the last Greatland Annual Report "The sale to Aventine Resources demonstrates Greatland’s approach to exploration portfolio optimisation and its support of the Aventine Resources team to establish a new greenfields gold explorer in the Paterson Region", and, "A final Non-Executive Director will be appointed by Greatland Resources, as a foundation and substantial shareholder of Aventine Resources, at an appropriate time in the future."

Anyone who attended the Town Hall meeting will know that Shaun Day stated, very clearly, that there will be no need to "Mind the gap"!

...and, just to add, to date, only a very few brokers have even factored the Telfer WDU into their research and SP TP's.

The gold price boom helped, with Greatland Resources (GGP) more than trebling in value.

On its own, it accounted for about half of our total return.

Indeed Element! As many of us well know, things generally take a long time to evolve in the mining industry, but some things can, and, indeed do, evolve relatively quickly too! Sure, totally understandably, most long term investors in Greatland look to Havieron as the cash cow/golden goose, whatever, taking precedence over everything else. But, as I've said for many months now, we also have a new 'mine within a mine' in the WDU.

I can't say, and I doubt anyone else can, realistically, what effect it will have, bar some in the Greatland office in Subiaco, but I'm more than prepared to leave it to them, to decide what's best for the company & shareholders.

I'm sure I'm not the only one really looking forward to the WDU maiden MRE, due this quarter, which could be a complete & utter game changer, as to where we go in the short/medium term. It could change strategy well beyond where investors thought we were always going, even in the relatively short past.

I just took a look at the comments, and Greatland is praised in the 2nd highest rated post.

Hi mango, Yup, the fear has indeed been that Lewis will maybe cut dividends, but, IMHO, that's already, by now, been factored into the current sp. Sure, there may be a drift slightly lower still, but personally I feel it's now at, or very near, the bottom, and hopefully a nice rise is due in Q1 CY26.

I've been looking at investing in DGE for some time now, especially with having a liking for Guinness, over many years, and having a family member who worked for them in West Africa for decades. Anyway, I've taken a few yesterday at £15.86. Hopefully it'll pay off as a long term investment, especially with the new CEO. I'm not so sure myself about Lewis potentially looking at taking the offering lower down the premium price ladder, with Diageo being a relatively high cost producer, with others doing that significantly cheaper. I'd maybe rather see continuing with the high end brands, but cutting costs, including expensive marketing. I'm guessing that Lewis will certainly be doing the latter at least. As always, only time will tell.

The Greatland Resources share price was on form and raced 26% higher in December. Investors were buying this gold and copper producer's shares thanks to favourable moves in commodity prices. Another positive was the release of the feasibility study for its Havieron project. It noted that the study confirms a pathway to a world-class, long-life, lowest quartile cost Australian gold-copper mine, leveraging existing infrastructure. The company's managing director, Shaun Day, commented: "Today, we are delighted to deliver our Feasibility Study which confirms Havieron's world-class quality and sets the pathway for its development into a long-life, low cost, leading Australian gold-copper mine that will integrate efficiently with the existing infrastructure at Telfer."

In the Greatland 'Resource Development & Exploration Activities Report - September Quarter 2025' published on the 22nd October, they stated that it was pretty much a 'timing' issue:

"The O'Callaghan's deposit is a tungsten, copper, lead, and zinc sulphide deposit located approximately 10km south-southeast of the Telfer mine and a globally significant high grade tungsten deposit outside of China, and has historically be listed as both a Reserve and Mineral Resource by Telfer’s previous owner, but was not declared as either a Reserve or a Mineral Resource by Greatland in its March 2025 update (4 months post-acquisition of Telfer) as technical evaluations to support such classifications had not been completed at that time."

So, yes, really looking forward to that too! So much going on, it's difficult to keep up sometimes.

Hi Snorkler, Yes, the sleeping 'giant'. What is very interesting is that O'Callaghan's wasn't even mentioned in the 2025 Annual Report, let alone any resource figures. However, as Shaun stated in the Town Hall webinar, Newcrest actually had O’Callaghan's in their reserves. So not just resource but all the way into reserve.

He went on to say that they're going to be looking at possibly reintroducing that, maybe not in the March Quarter, but sometime in CY26. As for monetization, he said (thanks to Dip, yet again), "...We're very much thinking about the best way to do that, that may not necessarily be Greatland owning a tungsten division, but we'd certainly like to create value for shareholders and we that will be a bit of a focus for us as to how to solve that puzzle and you know create value around this event which could which which I think there's an array of corporate solutions for and I think people should be confident that we'll unpack them during the course of the next calendar year."

Also looking forward to the West Dome Underground maiden MRE, probably in March, but indicated as due in the March Quarter (1st January - 31st March), which should make some of the brokers sit up, IMHO. Only a few have even factored the WDU into their research so far, and the drilling results to date have been pretty amazing. The cut-off for the drilling inclusion in the MRE is tomorrow.

GGP closed on ASX today @ A$10.38 (£5.16), down 2.26%, but 4.7% higher than the AIM close yesterday (£4.9285).

God help us tomorrow, all of the usual suspects will probably be out from their holes! Time to turn off again!

Seriously? The gold price is down 4-5% today. Newmont is down around 6%. VanEck miners are down 5-6% and people are talking about GGP being manipulated and 'they're' dragging us down?! Really?

As of 30th November 2025 Franklin Gold and Precious Metals Fund hold 9,​143,​750 shares in GGP, being the 11th largest holding, at 1.69%.

Hi Rotherby! A quick check on AI says that the average gold price in Q2 FY26 (October 1st to December 27th, 2025) is approximately A$6,290/oz. So that's around A$1,000/oz above the average gold price we achieved in our sales in Q1. I appreciate it's all indicative only, and other factors involved, but all adds to the positivity.
