Anyone in the commodity business/international trade could have told the clueless, ivory-towered city economists that that was the case months ago! Many commodity prices are now at their highest levels for decades, if not ever, and the buyers of those commodities, used in their production, probably won't even see these goods arriving until next year now. The goods subsequently produced, which will have to bear those higher base costs, plus increasing ocean freight rates, won't be shipped, from the likes of China until at least Q2 2022. Inflation will only be 'starting' to rise, IMHO, into early next year, and I'd expect that to continue well into the second half of 2022, even without the likes of the, surely, increased wage inflation which will come too!

Yup, in earlier trade today it hit $1869.60, a hairbreadth from the next $1870 resistance level.

As often the case, it's backed of a bit to $1860 currently....

That Tweet just goes to show the same rubbish that we've seen posted for years now from the de-rampers. Then it was basically saying that the GGP sp would drop to 1.5p (from 2.325p on the 20th January 2020). Anyone that followed that same mantra, at that time, would have lost out on over a 600% return in just under 2 years, based on todays sp level!

We know where this is going in the next 2 years if you just ignore those clowns, both back then, and today!

Having backed off slightly earlier today to below $1850 the gold price is now rising again.

You seem to be trying to complicate something that's actually very simple with regards to GGP! Just look at the fundamentals! Period! Simples!

Sorry, but I just don't see that as even a remote possibility now! The bottom has been reached +/-, so I don't expect any further significant (manipulated), or anything like it, move down from here!

IMHO, I don't see this being anything remotely about Shaun Day buying shares, or not. Frankly, I don't care one way, or another, as i don;t believe that it's as important as some people believe, and bang on about. Give the guy a break!

Yes, I agree with 5X5! The sp was clearly overpriced last year, but is now underpriced, by some degree too!

Manipulation? Yes, I do think so, and have for some time now. A view that was laughed at by many earlier this year, but, it seems that a lot more people are now coming to accept that view.

That all said, and as so many of us have said, for months now, this is only going in one direction in the medium/long term!

...Still nothing much around from what I can see, but it sounds like there was some very interesting talk about the geology in the Paterson.

There's a comment from someone there (or who paid for access), which states:

These broad scale studies reflect back to the deposit scale and the concepts can improve targeting.

The fold structure at Winu is probably a reflection of the large scale processes that occurred at different intervals. Of particular importance is the intrusive rocks attached to the O'Callaghans Supersuite that correlate well to the ages of Telfer, Winu and O'Callaghans. Probably Minyari, Havieron and others."

Interesting comment GGP. IMHO, he and Gervaise Heddle are very different characters, but also with different strengths/mindsets, etc. I may well be wrong, but I couldn't see Gervaise Heddle doing many, or indeed any, such investor meet style webcasts. I think that a lot of people were unhappy at GH leaving, but I also think that SD has more than filled his boots now, moving the company forwards. OK, the sp isn't great, sure, but, as most of us know, it's coming, for sure!

I think he did brilliantly too, sounded a bid jaded, but I think we'd all be so if we'd stayed up most of the night to do the presentation!! He's put a great deal of PR into the mix over the past few months, which was needed, and does genuinely seem to be a champion for the shareholders!
