'Ecuador is one of the countries with the most mining potential in South America'18 Mar 2022 13:00
Interesting piece yesterday on mining in Ecuador...
"With just two large-scale mines in production at present, mining is Ecuador's fourth largest export sector, behind oil, bananas and shrimp.
However, several projects should go into production in the next decade, meaning that there is set to be a jump in mining activity in the Andean country.
BNamericas spoke about Ecuador's mining potential with Fredy Enrique Salazar and Freddy David Salazar, CEO and corporate manager of Vancouver-based Salazar Resources, respectively, a company which will begin construction of the El Domo copper, gold and zinc mine at the end of the year as part of its Curipamba project...."
Clearly, still ticking upwards! Basically, who'd want to be selling now anyway, unless vital for some reason? IMHO, this will continue north +/-, maybe even increasing in pace, as many are expecting a bid. DYOR
Indeed! It's been 'creeping' up all day, and, IMHO, no reason to believe that the general move +/- will continue north now, until we have an offer, maybe not, but, again, IMHO, it's coming! DYOR
Yup, trading for nickel on the LME resumes today but it appears that it has already triggered the new limits set out by the exchange, that being price moves will be constrained to 5% above or below the last closing price.
The closing price prior i.e. last Monday was $48,078, so the limit down today hit is at $45,674.
If it's for a client, then, the big question, as always, is how many? Certainly the sp is still very cheap, IMHO. Even without any assays from Red Setter and/or Cottesloe this should be worth at least 9p/10p. With favourable assay(s) it could sky rocket.
