Interesting piece on 'Block Caving' in BC, Canada, also mentioning Newcrest Mining's Red Chris operation:

There are several common mining methods available, including room and pillar, shrinkage stoping, cut and fill, sublevel caving, longwall mining and block caving.

With regards to Havieron, Hannam&Partners are clear that they, "...continue to assume a subsequent block caving operation will be developed within the lower grade breccia zones, commencing production in 2029."

Thanks Sorbie, and although it seems likely, therefore, that there was some drilling (although not 100% clear), I'd like to know if any core(s) have been sent for assay, or not. Or, are they waiting for the new drilling before sending any core(s).

It is somewhat confusing! Drilling pretty much always stops in the area from December/January through to March/April due to break and very high temperatures.

What I want to know, and which the company have not made clear, is how much, if any, drilling was actually done at Red Setter following the last RNS. If there was some drilling, are cores being assayed now, or are they awaiting further drilling before submitting cores for assay?

Well oversold again...GGP are up 11% this morning. The GDXJ is up around 4%, 25% up in the past month!

Yest WSBN has been moving down again to just above 7P.

IMHO, a good rise is now due in the next day, or so, hopefully sustained!

Newcrest Mining is looking to increase its holding in the Havieron joint venture gold-copper project in Western Australia.

The major miner, which owns 60 per cent of Havieron, is in discussions with Greatland Gold regarding an additional 5 per cent interest in the project.

The current joint venture agreement enables Newcrest to earn up to 70 per cent in Havieron through the total expenditure of $88 million and a series of development milestones. The four-stage earn-in spans a six-year period, beginning in May 2019.

Newcrest also acknowledged Greatland Gold’s updated mineral resource and ore reserve statement release last week, stating it had not reviewed or verified the analysis completed by the UK-based mining company....

Indeed Ben! Let's be honest, we've been 'manipulated' for some time now, in pretty much all directions!

However, the facts remain, we still have 30% in probably the biggest gold/copper mother lodes for a generation, or more.

Is it any surprise that we're being bombarded, purely in their own interests, by the likes of any other interested parties, chancer's, manipulator's, funds, institution's, you name it! They'll do anything legal, but just possibly not (if they believe that they can get away with it), to benefit from the many that had the balls to get in early! It's a common issue, believe me! I know it sounds somewhat trite, but hold for gold!

Hi Ben, IMHO, he'll now have to tread VERY carefully going forwards, because a lot more 'eyes' are on him now, after Shaun Day's brilliant trump card play!

Sadly, a very good point now, and, yes, I have to agree on that spoton1!

IMHO, Newcrest have, maybe now, 'shown their cards', and, basically, nothing would surprise me now!

However, if, 'keeping expectations low' is on their cards, and. quite frankly, nobody know's, apart from themselves, then they'll have to be very careful, indeed, because any attempt to 'manipulate' the likes of assay results, and/or delaying them, would be a major cause for concern for both parties, and, indeed, the authorities.

Let's see how this pans out this coming week....Let's be straight here, one of the most important and significant for some time, for many reasons!

As I've posted elsewhere today, I do increasingly have, at least some, sorrow, if that's the right word, for the derampers on here, and elsewhere, who have clearly lost one of two paddles from their canoe, desperately trying to paddle upstream, with an increasingly strong current, and whose last paddle is clearly suffering from severe, and increasing woodworm...They've obviously struggled with continually denouncing GGP shares, probably from sub-1p levels, and will continue to struggle, and, no doubt, their canoe will finally, sadly, sink, IMHO!
