The Gold Price in Australian Dollars, @ AUD5120, is now a mere whisker below the all time record high last Friday of AUD5168. Shaun Day probably has every employee at Telfer shoveling ore into the trains!

Roll on the first, full quarterlies for Q1, maybe even next week.

Put that in your pipes, the usual (and new) suspects on here, and those clearly manipulating the GGP sp now!

All I can say is that most people on here have seen it all before, and, quite frankly, as most of them are LTH's, they're not especially concerned with daily/weekly/monthly sp changes. They know where this is going, at least medium/long term, and, what's more, we'll see some significant moves north within the next few weeks. DYOR & GLA!

Just read my post Daz423. I clearly stated, 'general market', which you seem to have missed? I wasn't talking about the GGP sp, which, BTW, I've been invested in for over 5 years now.

A lot of people don't appreciate that most tariffs imposed by nations, against the USA, are aimed at the US states with Republican senators, so that the maximum damage will be done to their voters.

It's all increasingly a big game to the politicians, wherever they live in the world, because, generally, unlike those that work in the private sector, the taxpayer will still continue to subsidize their salaries, and fat cat, inflation index-linked for life, defined benefit pensions, unseen in the private sector for decades now!

Anyone who spells 'knew', as 'new', doesn't even deserve any attention!

The markets will remain very volatile for some time, IMHO. I warned of the general market bull trap on here yesterday, as nothing is more certain, I've learnt, in my over 40 years of investing, but I expect more to come.

It'll be interesting to see when we release the first, full Q1 results, which could be at anytime in the next couple of weeks. However, Shaun Day is an expert at PR, and I've no doubt he'll be well aware when to do so, probably when the markets have at least settled a bit more than they are now.

And, yes, IMHO, they will be extremely good, especially with the POG in Oz Dollars still at near record ever highs, and rising again.

Yup, Firetrail Investment Pty Limited, and they will clearly have their own reason for the sale, which is 96,498,102 shares, and would explain a lot of the recent volatility. It's only 13% of their original holding of 740,362,721 shares, so they still have a very significant holding.

I'm sure that there'll be some nice big nuggets in the Q1 pan!

It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out, but, one thing I've learnt over decades is also to also watch out for the bull traps. The markets will be very volatile for some time yet.
