For me, too, the primary driver of the price will be the U3O8 price, (and also the amount of money flowing into uranium shares in general, as can be measured by the URA ETF flows). IMO. a new Zona 7 style discovery by BKY would also move the share price. I don't think there is much downside from here unless BKY hit serious problems with permitting.

I'm having real trouble understanding AIM's reaction to Vast's last two Zimbabwe-themed RNSs. OK, it can be argued that today's diamond news is speculative (but what a speculation!), but the Eureka gold mine RNS was a superb deal which will very quickly become cash flow positive. What to do? Buy, of course. Sooner or later value will out. But, I also think, buy slowly, in small tranches, because who knows, in this crazy market called AIM, Vast's SP may yet fall further in the short term.

Just to add, Telekedougou will of course be incorporated into the Yanfolila mine plan if and when it is proved up. There's talking to be done about dividing up the profits, but it's a win-win situation for both CORA and HUM.

Hi Nginv! IMO, it is way too early to speculate on any increase in the Yanfolila LOM from today's RNS. It does look like Cora have hit paydirt at Telekedougou; that is, they have found a commercially viable gold deposit. Grades are good, geology is good, strike width is good, distance to Yanfolila is good. But nobody can say yet how big the find is - that (and a lot else) remains to be discovered.

Hi AllThatGuff! Yes, that's still just possible. No RNS by tomorrow morning and we can be certain that the extension for negotiating the JV deal has expired.

No RNSs today, so I assume that the extension agreed for negotiating the full JV deal (according to the previously signed binding heads of agreement) has expired. This now gets complicated, legally. I can't imagine anybody wants to take this matter to court - the delays involved would kill any chance of getting the plant built by the Zambian government deadline. So what? Do JLP start bankruptcy proceedings against BMR? Do they make a full takeover offer for BMR, let's say on a 1:1 share basis? Do they wrangle a little more with AB, and finally agree acceptable JV terms? I don't know. Anyway, let's hope news comes soon, because JLP's share price will suffer until this matter is resolved. As for BMR, I'm beginning to wonder if it will ever emerge from suspension. This feels like the end of the road for them.

Yes, the unspoken word in today's RNSs (both Vast's and Bod's) is Marange - a very delicate and sensitive subject. James Campbell found them, BOD were once interested in them, Vast once had a signed licence to mine them. If this is all coming back in the new Zimbabwe, then this is massive news for both companies.

I just bought a few BOD shares. Today's news is high explosive for Vast, but it could be nuclear for BOD.

Hi Ronnie! Yes, Tekeledougou really does look like a commercial discovery to me. Good grades, good strike width, good supporting geology, and only 8km from a working gold plant. It's got to be top priority for Cora now, surely?

That's much better news! It's early days yet, but Tekeledougou looks very much like it could easily become two more satellite open pits for Yanfolila. Good grades, good strike width, good geology. And that means money for Cora, and extra gold ounces for Hummingbird.

BTW, many thanks to Castaway for all the incredibly useful background info. Personally, I don't care too much about the BP license anymore. After the fantastic Eureka deal and now this one, Zimbabwe is the place to be. Good luck to all investors pressing the "buy" button at 8.00.00 a.m. this morning!

This is an RNS written to give as little useful information as possible whilst satisfying AIM reporting requirements. I don't think we'll get any explanatory interviews from Andrew Prelea today, either. Diamonds are clearly a very delicate and sensitive matter in Zimbabwe. This is making 2 + 2 = 5, but I am assuming that the Marange diamonds are back in play. Vast won't get compensation for the diamonds already taken, of course. But Vast could well get future exploitation / exploration rights for Marange. If this confirms, this is literally massive news for Vast. The SP could ten-bag overnight.

Lurker - I think you need to own up that you are not "objective" at all. Your attitude to this share is like the attitude of a Liverpool football fan to ManU.

Lurker - In the conference call Dan Betts made it clear that Dugbe was not an immediate priority. It may well be Hummingbird will develop another entirely new project first. Yanfolila will keep going on for much longer than the current mine plan, "into the teens", as Burt Munro has just remarked. That's not really "speculative and unknowable"; it's a very reasonable interpretation of known geological data.

Hi Blackfisk! Dan was asked about the possibility of Hummingbird being taken over on the cheap (i.e. at today's discount share price +30%). He replied that any buyer would need to see a couple of quarters of evidence of steady production and costs, and that he hoped by then the share price would have rerated. (TBH, I wasn't entirely convinced by this argument, but we'll see...)

The key "radioactivity" license is issued by the Spanish authorities. The company's support from Euratom (the Europeans) is very important, but they don't actually issue the license.
