Hi Dumbly The EPL has morphed, so can we now say an 8yr levy is a Tax, at least then we could use our credits against it.

And least we remember, the EPL was introduced to provide funds for Gov support to household during the energy crisis!

First thing new Gov did was increase it second was to cancel winter fuel payments for pensioners that existed long before the EPL But then what do we expect from the "Benefit claimants Party"

How are they getting away with the lies, firstly we will cut you energy bills by £300 they have just increase my bill by £300 cancelled winter fuel payment, wasn't the EPL introduced to pay out help with energy bills? secondly wind is so much cheaper? we will increase the green levy to get more turbines, this will be added to your energy bills?

We have a Government determined to pull down Britain and to replace it with a multicultural utopia with a benefit and NHS system open to the world!

Utter madness, the same people that back Drax are trying to stop wood burners in your home. I suppose they kiln dry the wood in America before turning it into pellets because that pollution doesn't count.

GB Energy will be like the Drax power station project, they made £500m profit last year after getting £570m in subsidies. They are going to fiddle the books the question is were will the subsidies come from? at the moment the price of Electricity is made up of the costs of producing it and the subsidies paid to produce some of it green. But it is getting out of hand so they will make the polluters pay the subsidies ( in their eyes ) watch out.

A bit like all the bicycle lane's that have been constructed everywhere, with the huge ongoing maintenance that is required all built at no cost to cyclist's.

You can hide the ponzi scheme of renewable subsidies including Drax as it is making electric prices spiral, and be able to claim to have cut energy bill's by putting the green bill elsewhere they are going to increase the windfall tax having convinced some, high bills are because of fossil fuel profits. I think they are building up to put the green subsidies on Gas and the motorist, fuel duty is easy, Gas and oil heating may just be Full VAT with 0% on electric. Invest in a heat pump?

Thanks for that clip, I found the constant theme being he will pay for all the crack pot idea's with money from GB Energy ( other peoples money) If it is cheaper it will happen anyway! Jobs of the future in house insulation? How do the finances for that work Will GB Energy send round a team to insulate your house and you sign over your savings in fuel bill to GB Energy? or does Government pay GB Energy from grants and that pays the wages and a profit to the investors?

He makes a big thing of locals benefitting from local generation. It is a Ponzi scheme I have said before I have Solar panels and benefit from them but it is only profitable because of higher Electric prices paid by those without them eventually you can't subsidise everyone!

We all paid into the state pension for our whole working life, and are told they spent the money so are lucky to get a pension benefit from them and it should really be means tested?

Now they cant resist the £1.5 trillion sitting private pension funds just going to waste so are thinking of revolutionising pension funds so that money can transform the UK with Green energy better public railways and probably 5 million houses and new sewers.

Just imagining Ed sitting at his desk and realising that 3% increase in EPL is not going to give him his £8bn, adviser informs him EPL is not levied on International oil imported here only NS oil produced here, What? we will take away there subsidies, but minister Tax allowances on money required to get the oil are not subsidies 78% of those investments are being made to provide the Tax you want to take! Dam how am I going to explain this? it is going to make me look a fool.

I own shares in Enquest, but would be happy to receive new shares in Enquest production, and shares in an overseas oil trading company Enquest agrees to sell its UK produced oil to the trading company at a fixed price at breakeven pays its way and we receive dividends from the trading company if they manage to sell it at a profit. What laws will that break?

If he had rolled his sleeves up and introduced rules that all new buildings must have solar roofs it would make sense! but taking prime farm land and covering it in panels is complete madness in a country that has to import food to survive.

Drax produces 12.1m tons of Co2 all is classed as renewable, fortunately for Enquest it is shipped on oil burning ships crossing the Atlantic. But to find that the spiralis claims of environmental friendly are being put forward by people in the pockets of Drax and that it needs £5bn in subsidy to exist is as you say a smoke and mirror scam that all the other renewable avenues follow.

NS oil being shut down by people paid by middle east oil!

I see Drax has received £5billion in subsidy for burning wood and is the UK's biggest producer of carbon emissions and many on the cccc are paid by them. Corruption!!! and UK gov set them up almost like a stonewall organisation, no debate allowed, we have control!

It makes sense that their assets would be at home in our portfolio, question is with decommissioning liabilities have they any value with EPL the tax credits are not so important to us?

At some point Labour must realise to build 1.5 million homes, new sewers, sea defences, thousands of wind turbines, expand steel production, nuclear power stations, a new power grid with battery storage, new giga factories for car batteries are going to require an increase in fossil fuel usage. And Ed Miliband will be toast vey soon!

Why do they need a higher CFD price to attract investment? they claim to be up to 9x cheaper, higher bills in pipeline then.

It is all a Ponzi scheme, The more renewables we use the higher the price the consumer has to be charged to subsidise it. Roll on Fusion power in 50yrs time is all I say. In mean time keep developing CC a coal fired power station can even be net zero with that, but Drax power station desperately needs it as it is only non polluting in the eyes of the cranks.

The only way energy costs can be cheaper in 2030 is if they scrap renewables and push to produce more oil and gas! That is not going to happen if we invest the amount of money needed and the investors get even a modest return, logic means it will be dearer, plus Tax revenue will fall.

Oil has massif tax loading even when imported so the next debate should its use fall will be were do we make up that shortfall and if they switch off home production that question starts earlier.

They state that they are going to replace the old already paid for infrastructure with super new non polluting ( after it is built ) new plant, that is a cost that everyone will have to pay extra for!

I for one have Solar panels with Battery storage and thank all those without them for paying me handsomely.
