Would fellow investors agree that the future success of VRP will be decided in the next couple of months. If the company can agree funding for phase 3, I think from that point on the share will progessively climb at points steeply , even if there is an initial dilution of the share price . If however the company fails to secure funding I think we are doomed even though the board will try to convince investors that funding will be sourced in the future. For me the next couple of months are crucial.

I see in the papers today that the Oxford Covid vaccine developers are hopeful they will have the vaccine ready by winter this year. I cant help laughing at the speed of the development of this vaccine compared to VRP. I have been in VRP for 12 years approx now and we haven't even started phase 3 yet, I feel that the board are just drawing out the development of this drug as long as they can to keep drawing their massively inflated salaries which we have all paid for. If this share collapsed all together we lose everything but they would still walk away rich ,with their salaries. Can I make a plea to the board to try and learn from the Oxford vaccine developers that you can still develop a drug safely and quickly in a very short time if you concentrate on the task and it's not because the Government have given funding as Verone have had just as much money to play with and what we cant afford is to lose anymore corporate investors this year having already lost 2 .

I must confess, I wasnt expecting the FDA agreement for months but on the basis that Covid and COPD are a lethal mix , the FDA has probably accelerated this through as anything that can help patients breath more easily whilst having Covid is bound to to be a good thing. Maybe they've done it just in case a vaccine isnt found..

I’m no expert but I don’t think it means that. I think it means he’s been given shares as part of his recruitment deal and that technically he has the right to sell them from the date given but he probably won’t. I could be wrong though.

I thought the RNS wasnt uplifting ar all, in fact I thought it was a disaster and sold some of my holding, but it's interesting that there hasn't been the huge sell offs I was expecting from the institutional holders. They obviously think the funding issue will be sorted even if they have to do it themselves.

A few people have suggested that VRP could be used as a treatment for Covid 19. While not wishing to rain on anyone's parade , I cant see why they would think that. Covid appears to be very similar to Flu in its physiological impact on the body which results in pneumonia. If VRP were to work on Covid surely the board would have tested it years ago on patients with pneumonia.

I see that at some time over the last few weeks Andera have finally given up on this share, earlier in the year they owned 5.5% of the company and now aren't listed according to the Verona Pharma website. The new management team of Verona have to wake up to this before the company isnt viable and the patients that need this to succeed lose out.

I'm getting a really good feeling about VRP finally. What appears to be excellent phase 2 results, the share climbing here and climbing nearly 90% in the states since November.
I see that Arthurian lLife Sciences has dropped off the corporate ownership list which appears to be a good thing because of the dramas surrounding Woodford. This might seem daft but the buying / selling patterns now remind me of the period when VRP climbed to 16 p old money. If I'm right this share will have a few big climbs soon and although after a couple of days it might drop a bit , unlike recently it will climb back straight away within a few days perpetuating the climb. Let's hope so !!!

It’s nice to see Verona (VRNA) climbing steadily in the states. It’s gone up about 30% in 5 days. I guess it’s because they have more confidence in the drug with the chief exec being based in the states.

As I mentioned yesterday the price for VRP seems to be being manipulated. The drop in price of 10% despite so few sells proved this whereas the Nasdaq only dropped by 2.6% which is much more realistic.
I for one won’t share anyone’s gloom on this share until the corporates start selling off theirs and they stand to lose a fortune.

I agree with Bewise, this change can only be a good thing as it certainy couldn't get any worse.
Most of us are considerably worse off due to the collapse of share price under JAK's stewardship.
I wouldn't be surprised if this claws back todaYs losses in the next daY or two. I have felt for a few weeks that maybe the MMs are manipulating this share to make us lose out so they make their margins and they've forced it down today on what could be good news. Hopefully!!!

A couple of people have queried why no one has challenged JAK on the share price when hosting the on line conference. I don’t know if it has been mentioned on this site but on the 2/12 David Ebsworth was interviewed on the website Proactive investor where he was challenged on this. Worth watching. Easiest way to get there is to google VRP and go into videos.

The report makes interesting reading. If Arthurian or Arix have lowered their stock from 4.2% to 3.2% it certainly hasn't been done in the last year as I mentioned previously Arthurian have held 3.2% for well over 9 months now . After reading the report you mention, I just wonder whether Arthurian and Arix will be forced to split their stake holding to 2% and 1.2% meaning they will drop off the corporate holding as thats set at 3%. I know you think that Arix will be selling off 1.2% soon but surely whatever they intended to do, they have done, hence the RNS.

Isthisawinner. Being a novice at AIM shares I decided about a year ago to record the % held by institutions from the capital structure so if they started selling off I would do this same. I checked my post from Friday where I said that Polar Capital got their shares from Tekla and my memory let me down. In my book about a month after FORSITE (not Tekla) sold their 4.75 % It was announced that Polar had bought 5% so I assume that's where they got theirs from plus added some of the PI sell offs.

Chester I am still confused by the Arix point as Arthurian only ever held 3.2% and according to the Capital Structure on the VRP website - still do. I know you think that Arix have sold off some of their shares from 4.2% down to 3.2% but they were never listed on the Capital structure as owning any although I believe they only have to declare companies that own more than 3%. There's obviously a link between Arthurian and Arix but Arthurian have only ever held 3.2 % and according to the website still do. It could well be that VRP haven't updated their website yet.

Polar Capital got their shares from Tekla when they sold up. Interesting to see another Bio- Science company buying in with Arix., I assume that's what the RNS meant.

I think that the market is falsely being driven down so that the MMs keep making their pound of flesh which they wouldn’t do if we all sat on the shares.
When it reaches the floor you watch the MMs will start driving it up again.

Like all, I am slightly dissapointed in the price today , but who can blame anyone for selling after the problems recently of the shares holding an increase. I thought about selling myself today but in fact decided to buy more as this is ridiculously cheap still and if it means I have to hold onto the shares for 18 months to have a multiple increase then so be it. I do wonder if, as a few people have eluded to today , whether the price will go up in phases this week as buyers get confidence from the price not dropping to anywhere near it was. I said to a friend today , who asked me why I never sold the shares at approx £1 . it's simple was my reply that by the law of sod, had I sold, a large pharma would probably have come in and bought the company and I intend being in when this share does eventually fly.

I think tomorrows results will be much more upbeat than recently as the company tries to instill confidence into the company and consequently the share price. As I mentioned in my Dec post , Synexus have started recruiting patients for a COPD trial and I'm convinced its VRP as they talk about it being an add on, allowing patients to continue with their existing drug. I think VRP will announce the phase 2 b trials have been highly successful and they are accelerating the phase 3 trial which is why they have already been recruiting for the phase 3 trial. With regards to the price, who knows where it will run as I bought some at 2 old p before it rose to 16p within months a long time ago and throughout that time there were big dips when I thought should I sell but never and it always came back. Let's hope the same thing happens tomorrow as the value in this share should start building now.
