George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Thanks for the rather patronising comment John. I agree, but did think BBs were also places to go to learn information and not just stag people off.
from a Mkt cap of c130M (@~730M shares) 2yrs ago when the dream was to reach to 500M and to be now at c2.5M is unfathomable (soon to be ~3B shares). Yes, the portfolio is healthier (still need sales) promising acquisitions have been made and costs of Ranger marketing and research costs expensive, but fundamentally there appears to have been no vision about the rate of cash burn or if there was it has almost certainly been kept hidden. Its seems to me that they are banking on 'something', whatever it is, coming off this year to get them out of this mess. Ranger tech is nice but the medical/lab device market is very competitive labs just do not go and replace equipment that easily or quickly so sales will be hard fought.
At the very least Rees and Hextall should be out on their ****s, after hopefully a hauling over the coals at the next meeting.
Anybody know what the total number of shares are after this placing of 2.14B?
thanks I think I will sit and wait it out and see if there are any pickings below 0.3p.
I bought a fair few on my return to this board a few weeks ago at 3p thinking it couldnt possibly drop further (having sold out at around 16p a year or so ago taking a loss in the process).....wtf do I know. Still cant believe they played this down to 0.3p and I hope they are given an grilling at the AGM. Good luck all and have a great Xmas.
excuse my ignorance but how is the 0.3p offer, offered? Surely just buying on the open market at 0.3p is the same thing?
also want to add how corrupt and sordid this whole affair has been.
Semantics Tony...jeez
sadly at this moment in time I am one of the 80%, but I take my medicine and keep details to myself. There's more than enough schadenfreude on this forum and others. I just dont get that.
if interim results are due soon, they will be in closed period so they cant buy. It still doesn't address why the sp has fallen.
the really disappointing thing is that despite Yourgene offering a very extensive and impressive list of medical services and technologies, they have struggled to turn this into hard revenue which shows how incredibly competitive and crowded this space is. Also, its maybe a sign that in the current economic climate there just isn't any money being invested in the health services to supporting these activities. If only a Yourgene employee could anonymously post something to break the silence. I cant believe that this demise is not a permanent topic of conversation in the labs, esp as many are probably in share save schemes that now look worthless.
as much as I like a flutter I'm not even sure about this even at this ridiculous price, its like a spiral of death. The lack of news flow from the company to even try and stabilize the share price and importantly reassure shareholders that nothing is afoot suggest to me that something is clearly afoot and they are bound to silence. This is the AIM market after all full of sharks and get rich quick/bailout CEOs.
Bloody hell it's a while since I visited this BB and I'm staggered the company is on this position. Just looked at the company website and I can't see any negative news that has led to this demise. Market sentiment or something more sinister? I feel the pain in the current sp.
"That EUA could have their assets stolen by the Russian federal government
Is this a possibility"
I did wonder that myself, the falling SP is one thing and is to be expected but I'm more concerned what Russia may decide to do to British companies operating in its territory after we have piled in with sanctions. I guess we just dont know.
China didnt release Covid, it originated in China.
Jezz what has happened to this BB? Its reads a like a pantomime where the villains have become the good guys and vice versa, peppered with sub plots and conspiracy theories.
Whilst I agree with many of the comments about the management of this company I take a very simplistic view on the the current SP position. I think its recent decline is mirroring the rapid decline in Covid testing and restrictions and also a depressed tech market in general. This company was never about revenue from Covid, but unfortunately it became that way it and after procrastinating it had to join to the party due to the abrupt stalling if its core business imposed by a pandemic induced global business shutdown. Take Covid away from the equation and we have a core business that has fallen behind. Are Lyn and his mob the right guys to get it back on track, I'm not sure anymore. There are lots of pieces to the strategic jigsaw in place, but these are nothing more than simple news bulletins what they need to show is sustained growth in non-Covid revenue simple as.
I came out of here a while back and took a 5 figure loss (posted on here) and did make a significant part of it back elsewhere (I was accused of lying but I don't lie and I can't be arsed to argue on a BB with anyone, life is too short). I suspect many on here are also underwater hence all the frustration and anger. At the end of the day we are all responsible for our own investments and have different investment strategies.
No doubt somebody will reply asking why I'm following a stock I'm not invested in. Sorry I must a ....ramper/deramper or paid by a competitors, trying to get back in at a lower price blah blah nonsense. Simple, surely you follow a stock before you invest and do some homework? I still follow this stock because I am still interested and want to invest (again) and whether is 13, 11 or 9p I don't personally give a monkeys its about having the confidence and seeing the growth potential of a company and I'm not sure I see that yet until this Covid blanket has been removed (not a deramp).
This BB used to be a great BB for discussion with some nice informed posts, yes sometimes different views but that's what a discussion board is about. We don't all have to play the same tune, I moan about my football team but I still follow them every week and believe me I have a good reason to moan about them. I hope it gets back to that and I hope everyone gets something out of this company at whatever level that it is.
Increased job vacancies can also be replacing lost headcount #just saying. Lots of jobs around at the moment in the medical industry. I know we are losing lots of staff to better opportunities.
Still nothing in my Interactive Investor account. Very poor been nearly a month.
Will do.
Anybody here with Interactive Investor? Have you received the ADRs yet?
84million shares at 0.59p thats still ~£5M!!
For info I was told by ii that it is unlikely that I can hold in my ISA and if that was the case they would be cross bordered to my trading account
