just came out of my burrow and took a look at the SP, what a surprise. Going back in now, wake me in Spring.
Old news
Thanks
Cooper where did you find that info. Interesting that they are asking for Ct values to be reported.
Cooper I sincerely hope you are right on that last point for all of us invested here. If not I suspect it may come back to kick you up the butt.
Also do people really think that flippant one liners are dished out drive the share price down for cheaper entry ..come on!! Seriously if they were able to the move the share price, whereas the numerous positive RNS's are unable to then we really are in trouble. No 'topping up' for me in this stock until there is positive upward momentum not downward momentum.
Jam tomorrow.
Can anyone really understand why this share price is continually sliding? It feels like death from a thousand cuts, the SP chart for the last three months is truly depressing viewing compared to almost every other company. As positive as I want to be there is clearly something not ticking all the boxes with the analysts.
Thanks Dan you preempted my question.
in laymans terms what does it mean?
Natdan not sure if I am classed as knocker or not, but I am heavily invested in this company and its certainly not small change. Neither do I live in my mothers spare bedroom (maybe 40 yrs ago). I am quite happy in my 5 bedroom house near the Thames thanks.
To clarify, I do fundamentally believe in this investment and its an area understand very very well since I have been working in biotech research for 30 years. I agree that YGEN is in a growth phase and mid/long term is more than likely to deliver. I could challenge your assertion that YGEN is cutting technology but I cant be bothered.
Where we are in disagreement is in the right of individual investors to have an opinion that may be contrary to majority investor opinion . To me that is a right of every investor, but I certainly don't and wouldn't dream of trolling BBs just to criticise peoples investments or advise people to sell, move on avoid etc.
I am not here to knock, in fact I frequent the BB to learn more. There are investors here who post well informed, researched posts. I am just one of many frustrated investors .
What is going on? Despite recent positive RNS Covid announcements, a new lockdown, rapidly increasing Covid positive numbers , increased testing and yet the SP still falls.
The reality is probably that the covid testing capacity and associated revenue is not enough to propel the share price but just maintain the status quo.
Will continue to scratching my head in bewilderment.
Shame it doesn't say whose test it is.
agree Ash but not sure how leading the kit is. I think everyone is running similar assay now.
another new variant identified from SA. PCR testing is here for some considerable time.
Bakky at this rate there will only be you and Ash talking to each other.
I'm not sure why you feel the need to filter anyone with a negative opinion about this company. Admittedly some criticism might be overdone, but its not without foundation and it certainly would be nice read more positive comments, but they will only come when the company starts delivering.
Surely, anyone who has invested has the right to comment? You can debate all day about the rights and wrongs of what strategies individuals choose to 'invest' their money its their prerogative, but it doesn't mean that any negative comment about the company is always de-ramping. Why do it when we all have money tied up in it, or I least I'd like to think we have or else why visit this BB? I have picked up lots of useful information about YGEN since I first visited this BB (almost 1yr to the day) but I am like dozens of others on this board incredibly disappointed, frustrated and ****ed off.
I do think there a people on this BB who are not critical enough and should be, because as an investment and for what ever reason this stock in my opinion has not performed. Yes its been a truly exceptional year and disastrous for some investment sectors, but it HAS been the year for molecular diagnostics/ testing and yet we have still lost value? Yes the core business is still growing and establishing itself in new territories and COVID hasnt helped but thank goodness for the 'extra' Covid work and even that now seems disappointing. The lack of absolute detail from the company is particularly galling and I think this is what is turning my sentiment.
I am absolutely certain that Lyns main and only priority is to establish this company, in what is a hugely competitive market and he is doing this by organic growth and expanding into new territory, returning immediate share holder value is not an immediate priority. For these guys this is their modus operandi - establish/acquisitions.... bonuses move on. Its not a particularly visible stock from a PR perspective and there is not enough share movement to make it a day trading stock. This comes back investment strategy, do you believe in the company or not?
I have worked in Biotech/Pharma for 30yrs and its an area of investment that attracts me and my own personal area of interest is Translational Biology/biomarker design. I do think molecular diagnostics and personalised medicine are the future but I reiterate it is hugely competitive, niche and has still has to prove itself in many disease areas. Ideally you need a competitive technological advantage with solid IP. PCR design is trivial and to be honest any company could design primers to create molecular screening kit. IMO its how rapidly you promote and sell this that will determine success.
Haha sorry I'm no Twix more of a Snickers man myself.
Heard on the grapevine that the new variant is not being picked up in some of the tests and they are missing cases. Lots of activity now to show that the vaccines are effective.
ColSoul good shout, my greenhouse has become my sanctuary this year.
I darent even look at my loss anymore and I'm certainly not 'topping up', I'd rather do that on a share with upward momentum than downward. Some of us painfully remember Marconi yrs ago....
I'm not sure why anyone would take us over until we establish ourselves with consistent sales in the core and show steady growth. At the moment things are well positioned and in-place and we have organically grown but ultimately you have to trade and produce good numbers.
IMO 20p seems a long way off at the moment but I hope I am made to eat my words because then at least I will break even. Like everyone else I feel incredibly frustrated especially when all the other companies I look at or have invested in at much value than YGEN are doing so well.
Twix sorry very cryptic, I meant I had just off-loaded 50K and you probably snagged 32 of them.
