GreenRoc Accelerates their World Class Project to Production as Early as 2028. Watch the full video here.
The S S Nomadic was a ship built by Harland and Wolff way back in 1911. This boat was used as a tender for the Titanic and has also had a very interesting existence since then, being used in both World wars and quite a few other ventures.
It was brought back to Belfast in 2006 and restored by H & W in 2011. It's also been announced a few days ago that the Nomadic is indeed having further work completed on it this month by H & W.
Made in H & W Belfast, restored in H & W Belfast and now being maintained by H & W Belfast. It's a 100 year plus history like this that makes this shipyard the very special place it is today.
I've popped the link on from the Historic Ships website mentioning the work being done and also the website for the actual S S Nomadic. I've also posted the actual S S Nomadic website for anyone interested in the actual boat.
It's a great tour btw on the Nomadic if anyone's ever over in Belfast here. It's berthed in Belfast docks beside the Titanic Visitor Attraction and also in the shadow of Samson & Goliath.

I've attached a link for a Business Live article.
I liked the comment from Tim Jones, chairman of the Appledore Taskforce and the South West Business Council "During the run up to the purchase of the Yard by InfraStrata, discussions took place with Senior officials in Whitehall, which gave encouragement to the prospect that MoD work would be directed to the Yard''.
What i didn't like so much is the Business Live photo on the article of Appledore showing Babcxck's name. They've subsequently been emailed re this out of date photo, lol.

Mushy peas, jellied eels & mash ! ?
You mainlanders have no idea how to woo yer wimen ! On a date night over here in Norn Iron our gals get treated to a pastie bap (with loadsa salt n vinegar). I carry my own white cutlery in my inside pocket and produce this if im with a really posh gal and want to impress her.
My thoughts Dawski are that Nicola Sturgeon will be firmly beating the drum for Scottish independence whether Boris sends work up north or not.
If there's no, or very little government contract work that goes over the border it gives her the opportunity to play the neglected, poor ignored us, victim card. Obviously this then encourages her to beat her independence drums ever louder. (You might guess I'm not a NS fan, lol).
Boris being Boris though, he'll do what he wants and might just say 'you couldn't please her whatever Scotland got, she'd still say it wasn't enough'. He could then simply say the majority of the work is going to where they see as the most suitable company and location, be this Scotland or any part of the UK. If it's not Scotland he would maybe just say, so be it, and be not too concerned with it.
Although I'm only invested in INFA (which includes H & W obviously) and none of the other shioyards, BAE, Bab, etc, I'd still though like to see government contracts spread throughout the UK yards. Like H & W, Rosyth and Scotstoun are long established yards with a skilled workforce and a great history and I wouldn't want them to close.
Surely there is enough government work to go round and build the whole of the UK to the industrial powerhouse it once was.
Soz Dawski, reading this back, I don't think I've given any thoughts on what I think might happen, only what I'd like to see happen.
Stokey. As Jabido says Gavin Robinson is the DUP minister for East Belfast (where H & W is located). I don't know him personally but have exchanged pleasentaries with him at several functions in previous years.
He's a very articulate guy, being a barrister by trade, and he's very well respected by the community in East Belfast for representing his constituents. I would imagine he's very approachable whether youre a constituent or not. It certainly comes across that he would be.
Another minister is Edwin Poots (DUP) who is the minister for Agriculture and the individual that makes the final ML decision . Again, he has a reputation in N Ireland as being a guy who works hard for the average working man / woman in the province.
Brandon Lewis is the Secretary of State for N ireland and he's been at H & W several times since he's became S.O.S.
I would imagine the INFA folks are lobbying who they can including the above guys.
It would be interesting if you got any responses from these politicians however I wouldn't hold out on getting any information that isn't in the public domain already, even though I'd imagine they may have a fair idea what may or may not be in the offing.
This is the lowest volume trading day for a very long time. Buyers and sellers both sitting on their hands today.
It was only by a few minutes Jab, lol.
The term makes me cringe the way it's overused these days, but, we're singing from the same hymn sheet Jabido.
I know a lot would disagree Stokey but i definitely don't want to see any dividend from INFA for quite a while !
There are pros and cons of a company paying dividends. Pros are it makes a stock more attractive to new potential investors to buy. It encourages existing holders to remain loyal. It can encourage investment and pension companies to have a stock in their portfolios, etc.
Disadvantages can include, it slows growth opportunities for a company to reinvest if they're paying profits out as dividends.
JW has big ambitions for INFA and these will obviously require funding. I'd prefer to have any profits accumulate to fund further growth at the minute rather than the need for further borrowing. We've previously seen borrowing with the likes of Riverfort, and although this was necessary at the time, borrowing (at sometimes not the most attractive rates) can have a negative impact on a share price.
We're maybe jumping the gun a little too talking about dividends, although it's good to look ahead. We need INFA to be profitable first before the discussion of dividends is a possibility.
From earlier communications from the company Stokey H & W have done substantially more work on the Connaigra than what it origonally came into the Yard for. It appears that these additional works have been quite substantial too.
Maybe the new departure time is to even more work that needs to be completed. Or maybe it's always just me wanting to see the potential positives, lol.
Either way, there's no doubt about it, the OC will have been a good little earner for us with the length of time it's been in dock and the amount of work completed.
Thanks for those pics Si of the Appledore site. It's good to see in more detail as to what exactly the site is.
I think we need to make you our Appledore correspondent on the page here with you being so local. No pressure, but we're hoping to get at least weekly updates from you (and positive ones too, lol).
As for my big wurley windmills, i refuse to use the term turbines ! Im 50 now, and have been using the term big wurley windmill for 47 years now (for those round and round things), and I'm too old to change. Hope you understand.
I'm just being mischievous, it's not our Appledore dock that's been sold, although i did wonder when i initially seen the headline, lol.
It's not INFA related but i thought it might be of interest to some folk here who have shipping or maritime related interests, or anyone living in or near Appledore (Si).
It's the Richmond Dry Dock that's been sold having been purchased by the Wheatcroft Collection. It's more good news for the Appledore area and helps going towards rebuilding the area as a significant maritime region.

With all the chat and excitement about these floaty things and possible government contracts, as well as this so far mystical thing called an 'ML' (whatever that is), there seems to be relative silence from the company on big wurley windmill related stuff.
Now the last time the company went quiet with boaty and ML communications, and us folk were getting frustrated about this silence, i put a post on that i was excited by their silence. I felt those pesky suit people were up to something and it wasn't making decisions on the choice of biccies for tea break. Within 24 hrs all news broke loose about a purchase of Appledore, this being something there was no public discussion of anywhere and that none of us seen coming . Now ! My 'Excited' post was simply a coincidence with this news coming so soon after this excited post, as i know notheeen, being an average punter like most of us here.
Getting to the point (eventually) now. I have another hunch.
The board have said next to nothing recently about renewable energy, windfarms, etc and again the silence on this subject has me a little excited. I think those suit guys might be up to something again ! The FSS contracts (assuming we might get work from this in some shape or form) could be into 2022/2023 before a spanner is lifted on them. The Marine License decision is still to happen, who knows when ! ? All this and INFA have just bought this Appledore place (with the big acreage that comes with it) and they're also recruiting hundreds of folk !
Here's a thought. Could we be seeing those big wurley windmills at Appledore soon, and lots of them ? ? ? They don't need any ML and contract discussions with other parties shouldn't be too detailed or lengthy (as how many and how much are the main discussion points i would imagine)
Now please no-one for a second think my waffle here is from any position of knowledge, as it certainly isn't. It's simply a hunch i have, and again it's simply me sharing my thoughts out loud here.
The assembled board here at INFA are as good as it gets in my opinion and I'm hoping they have something they're not telling us again, but might announce soon.
Could it be big wurley windmills ? ?
Thanks for the heads up on this programme Speedy (shown on Monday night past).
I've posted below the link to BBC iPlayer to watch the half hour video. It shows the great determination of the H & W workforce to keep the Yard open and gives the story of the workers from they went into adminstration right up to the purchase by INFA.
There's no great info on INFA here but there is a shot at the end with a smiling JW and Arun when INFA do the deal to purchase H & W.

Cheers Stokey. Thanks for that.
Soz. Here's the link

This is the headline earlier today on the Shephardmedia.com site.
It's obviously not any specific news but these guys are a global company specialising in marketing within the defence sector. I'm curious as to their thoughts and comments on INFA in this sector as they're very well respected in the defence sector with news and analysis.
I previously done their free 7 day trial to have a wee look at their page but can't do this trial again (and I'm too mean to pay a regular subscription, lol). I'm being cheeky here but do any of you guys have access to this and could summarize their comments of their post on INFA for us ? Ta.
I agree Dawski that that 77k sale @ 13.31 is worrying, and a lot of us who have maybe been invested for a while might find a sale like this difficult to understand, especially bearing in mind all the 'potentials' that are floating around at present for INFA.
My average buying price is low 60's and with the potential as i see it for INFA, then i'm here for a multi bagger (hopefully). What we need to remember though that only 6 months ago the share price was just under 20p. Some of the sellers here are on 100% profit, if they came in at those prices.
Now if the share price went to £1.25 (and i was UP 100%), would i be tempted to sell myself ? . . . . . I don't believe I'd sell up, but would i maybe reduce my holdings to crystalize some gains ? . . . . . It's a very possible maybe !
Hopefully this might be a case that the seller is someone in profit and wants to crystalize a gain, rather than a longer termer deciding the prospects aren’t as attractive as they’d like, and they've had enough.
If we knew the seller and knew their remaining holding (if any), it would be easier to know whether their sale was as negative as it first appears. Ie, if they still held several hundred thousand left I’d be less concerned.
I remember and old investment broker once saying to me in relation to buying and selling shares ‘you’ve never made or lost a penny until you sell them, it’s only a paper loss or gain until that point’.
Maybe the seller was wanting to actually make money with this theory.
(I just re read this post, and goodness I do waffle sometimes, lol. Hopefully some of it might make some sense)
That's true Stokey. I'm a good example of that, lol. I never really could get into Twitter and haven't used it to date.
That's why it's also good that yourself and a lot of other folk share info here. All info shared is appreciated.
Re RNS's. I know there's a cost for companies to issue these, but does anyone here know what the actual approximate costs are ? Lottie maybe , or any other financial folk here with experience or knowledge of these costs ?
My thoughts Stokey are that this info wouldn't need a regulatory RNS and therefore INFA don't need or want to go to the financial expense of issuing one.
17 vessels through the Yard isn't any new news to release as this info is widely known. 6 vessels booked in in next 4 months, although good news, I wouldn't envisage this being RNS-able unless one or some of these was a considerable size contract.
As for the workforce up to 200, I wasn't aware of this number and this is very positive, however on it's own, maybe not worthy of an RNS.
What is good to see is what seems like a bit more news flowing recently from INFA and H & W. These Tweets and Facebook posts give us a better idea of what's happening on the ground.
Definitely Stokey. What would be even better would be to see several ships in simultaneously at the Belfast Building dock as well. With the dimensions of it at 556m x 93m its certainly capable of holding a few big boats at once. 2 of those Viking sisters would be a great sight in dry dock, and again with the size of that dock, they could be berthed either side by side or one behind the other. I'm in an optimistic daydream now, but who knows, never say never.
