Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I guess we can't test your graph/technical bounce theory now since today's double good news has obscured the view :-)
Some good news for a change :-) I've not looked in since early Friday so haven't been up with the news. We appear to be in auction yet again. Not sure why that keeps happening but totally stifles trading. Worked in my favour last week though as I was going to sell a few shares - glad I couldn't now so can't complain :-)
Thanks for the post - has to be good news. No news from SHFT yet on their own wildcat strikes. Fingers crossed for a positive RNS on that one soon too.
...practically all day!?
...managed to access today's presentation yet? Can't see it on the company site's presentation page.
thanks again (of course if this doesn't bounce and WSG goes through the roof you're in big trouble! lol ;-) )
PS if you're right and this heads north on no news then you may open my eyes to this graphing malarky ;-)
thanks buddy - a glimmer of hope then :-)
please could you explain in lay man's terms?
I definitely agree. Today's RNS warns of potential adverse affects on profitability which is bound to affect any dividend if not resolved fairly quickly. And if the EuroChem games aren't sorted out before any dividend is announced it would be foolhardy to promise to give profits to shareholders whilst fighting a legal case of that magnitude.
I think institutional buying will be encouraged when, and only when, there is no longer an $800m legal challenge hanging round our necks.
Just caught up on posts and read both of yours. Yes does seem like a bit of a rant lol but no worries. Not sure what you misread in my post though as I was saying that patience is required i.e. this will take time to get right and until EuroChem is no longer an issue the SP will be suppressed. My point was that in the short term for me personally I see little gain in breaking 40p. Only good news re EuroChem (primarilly), Africa, and new contracts will lift us in any substantial and lasting way. Anything else is likely to be transitory.
Why do we need to break through 40p soon? Admittedly we'd all probably feel a lot more comfortable if we moved north but the only thing that is really going to give us more value is some positive news. Whilst EuroChem are hanging round our necks we just have to accept that we need to be patient. Meanwhile bad news on strikes in Africa isn't helping and as that drags us lower those that bought in cheaply on the EuroChem dip get twitchy and take their profits. As EuroChem gets resolved (assuming positively) and as the South Africa situation gets resolved value will out here again eventually (well that's my hope and prayer anyway).
lol yes the yield at these prices is potentially huge IF we confirm that we'll be paying 4.8p again for the final divi (or better). Here's hoping :-)
managed a small top up at 32.78p
Me neither - I've googled as best I can. Hopefully just a few people not prepared to wait it out and then a few more panicking on the drop. When I get home I may check the business account to see what I can raid as this is now ridiculously cheap so long as its not down to further news.
I know but at least you're trying. Have thought to write myself but haven't got off my backside to do it as yet. Any news out from anywhere today (Eurochem, South Africa, etc etc) that could be behind today's drop?
Well done - look forward to learning what they respond with.
Because you got them cheap, below the midpoint at the time. The market makers set the bid/ask spread to make the midpoint higher than they were quoting
google.co.uk/finance have finally fixed their SHFT graph - looks much better now
