Thanks for more positive news. In the last few years there is no doubt that the BoD at NIPT have diversified into many countries where child birth is still on the rise. The strategy appears to be right. However, the market does not appear to place any value on these significant partnerships. If these new areas of business can generate cash then I wonder when the MMs etc will take notice. I am suspect that Illuminia may be proving to be simply difficult, but at some point the legal action will need to be concluded. I am surprised that the outcome of the legal review has not been communicated. This would certainly move the SP some IMO. There certainly appears to be a lot happening with this share so hopefully the next quarter should see significant performance coming through.
I suspect some may just be taking profits. If there is a buyer then we will see either close of play or tomorrow at some point.
Well, I am more than happy for anyone to have a view as long as the situation with Illumnia gets resolved and the SP rockets! I am unsure if Illumnia will do anything until NIPT have themselves in profit with cash being generated.
I think this is really positive news today. This is not the sign of a failing company. Hopefully the next 6 months will be a game changer. With regards Illuminia........I wonder if their strategy is to simply to leave NIPT hanging with the threat of legal action rather than coming to any compromise? If anything, NIPT BoD need to bottom this out fast, particularly if further money is needed by way of a placing.
There have been a number of big buys this week. The SP has made a little recovery, but this still has a long way to go. I had thought that we would be updated on the legal action against Illuminia and confirmation of the next steps.
Alquemie - I find your posts extremely informative. You certainly appear extremely knowledgeable. However, I agree with Bunion's views as you rarely offer anything positive on this BB in respect to RP (Fortican) being successful. Can you not offer your services to RP and provide Jamie with some guidance? This would be more beneficial.
I am not too bothered about this placing. Given where we were 30 days ago, NIPT appears to have been somewhat resilient. There appears to confidence here. In the last week there have been some major purchases. I do believe that where Directors inject cash and buy shares this is always positive. I just hope we can put the litigation to bed. I await the legal update on the next steps with llumnia concluded. I am still sitting on my hands and will likely to dip my toe in the water if the litigation case is finalised.
Putting the litigation to one side, is today not good news? Also, IMO where the directors inject monies this must be again considered a major positive. I accept that the market may not have supported a fund raise, but at least they have not sought TF's monies. IMO the BoD appear to be doing what is necessary. Let's hope that the litigation comes to some sort of conclusion.
bakky - i looked at the LSE summary online and it has "AMD LRG" besides this trade which stands for amended large transaction. I can only assume that this was a large share purchase. I am sure there are many who know better than me.
I have recovered some of my paper losses this week. Fingers still royally burnt. I would like to comment on the big purchase of 1 million shares that appears to demonstrate that someone believes very strongly in this share. Next week should be another interesting week.
I do not want to go on about takeovers or the SP being manipulated, but I suspect that Recordati have RP "tied up" where they have some sort of right of refusal which in itself may put off 3rd parties from investing or taking matters forward. I do think JG and Co appear to be very good. It is also interesting to note JM's silence.
Good progress on the SP this week. I suspect that many PIs are simply taking a position, if not a punt. However, hopefully the next RNS will be a blinder. I hope that the BoD issue any pending news in such a way that they get the message home and they don't release bad news and down play the positives. To date the BoD have been poor on the marketing front. If B/E has been achieved and future profits are evident with some clarity on the legal front, IMO the SP should bounce significantly. Anyway here is hoping!
I may be tempted, but to be honest, I require clarity on the litigation front.
I hope it is more than the cat. In an ideal world I would love to see the SP rocket on the back of good news. I have been tempted back in, but my hands have been burnt so far.
If this share gets above 10p in the next year, it will have been a result. Also, I would like to see the Directors invest in the company in some capacity, which would send a positive message out to us shareholders.
A lot is happening this month. I would have thought that the legal review should have been completed by now. A plan B or C should be getting reviewed with Thermo Fisher's input sought. I have revisited the number of units that have been reported over the last 18 months. I am not an expert in how long it typically takes for units to become profitable, but I agree that if BoD are to claw back any credibility then the financials should exceed expectations. As to the legal action with Illuminia, from this BB it would make sense to seek an imposed settlement. However, much will depend on the legal review and actual options available. I would have thought that BoD would have sought Thermo Fisher's involvement to negotiate with Illuminia even at this late stage. It is certainly going to be a very interesting month ahead.
Florida - re-read your posts. Your comments are balanced and I do not disagree with what you say. A number of posters simply may not understand the legal position(s) or strategy that NIPT appear to have adopted. I agree that if we look to the other 85% of T/o - this is what is going to drive the business forward. Also, the BoD have not really IMO explained what our funder's position is in this action. Yes, it is implied, but there is a point that you need to bite the bullet. I am a LTH. Not happy with the SP. However, we do need meaningful progress to be reported in the next month.
I have been looking online in the USA and could not find any comments on this case. Is there any possibility here that discussions between all are ongoing over the weekend? This may be wishful thinking.
Apologies, SOTRR, but I have heard all this before from various at PLE / RPG. It all sounds good, but it never quite translates to the SP. I would also observe once again that these guys really need some professional PR guru other than the current incumbents. Also, Jim Mellon has gone to ground. Maybe if he too spent as much time promoting RPG as he does BREXIT then the SP would move upwards to previous dizzy heights when it was PLE (21p). Yeah, I long term holder who should have sold at the peak. Still being patient.
I am the first to admit I might know a bit about litigation, but I am unsure how the 321 hearing works. It would be good if some news gets reported this month. I am still sitting on my hands, for I like Hemo believe that the minute I sell then knowing my luck with this share, it rockets upwards. Or this may just be wishful thinking on my part!
