Well if we are weaker now because £5 billion is wiped off the market capture to the SD this could just could be a takeover target by mr Canadian billionaire that just got blocked in France , maybe why Sainsbury’s shares are flying at the moment.
Personally the SD is a complete PR disaster for Tesco in my option now the pennies are starting to drop with regards to the tax implications as one of my colleagues came up to me ranting about it today : still the shares have nudged nearer that 250 mark so not al doom and gloom

On my radar to buy a small position soon only £500-700 but believe there is potential here ,

Yes I was thinking the same thing the volume of shares traded is subsiding , so the herds starting to look for the next best thing , I’ll be holding for now I find the Bitcoin mania quite interesting to be honest,
No doubt when Bitcoin goes back above 40k they’ll be back.
Those that have 110 entry’s or higher might be looking to average down in the coming days .

I see he’s doing very well since he jumped ship . I looked back in on a company called eagle eye solutions EYE , only another £11 million shares in his pocket! I nearly picked a few shares up but forgot they’ve trebled in a year,

Now here’s a thought not connected to the special dividend but the actual dividend. Something rosewall made me think of when he said the dividend should rise. Now if I remember Tesco pay 50% of their profit as a dividend which was£2Billion ish last year , now this year they have taken a £820 million hit to their profits . So say they make 10% more 2.2 Billion but you take away costs 800m .that means their will be only £700 million versus £1 billion to pay out as a dividend so I think “ I may be wrong the dividend may fall this year or stay put .

I was looking back on my share chat and I noticed eagle eye . Knowing the Tesco connection with Terry I thought I’d look back in, wowzers it’s nearly trebled ! and to think this bored is so quite is unbelievable, I was watching this but it fell off the radar one missed as they say

Yes valuations are somewhat frothy at the moment, but still the climb continues!..?
Like Tesla how on earth can that add 60 billion the total price of General Motors in one day ! Where it equates they’d have to sell each Tesla at 1.25 million dollars to justify the share price “ bonkers”

Bit of a pull back last week sadly but back to a great top up level or entry point to get back in ,

The depot’s I agree your looked after really well and unite union do a good job
Sadly stores seem to be less looked after and Usdaw are in bed with Tesco,
Two different worlds in the same company hence the equal pay claim going through the courts,
So many people are on 12-21 hour contracts “ flexi as well “ Tesco could pay the same overtime rates as the depot and I don’t think many would get over 36.5 hours to get the decent rate as Tesco can flex others before they get there reintroduce the bonus , Bob’s your uncle no problem.
Otherwise you get what happens in that no one’s interested in overtime at Xmas , so they came from the depot ( as it’s a mile away )to do some at £16:50 an hour as one boasted compared to £11.which went down like a lead ballon and they needed help to finish the aisle where as the regular person would of done it and cheaper ,
I just don’t get Tesco’s logic sometimes.

Yes but did they save for a rainy day ? Covid will have cost the wife 50k over the two years we might struggle to remortgage in the future as it’s based on wages , I’m on less due to being bumped out of my job, But I piled in when the times was good and have a buffer and haven’t splashed out thousands on holidays or flash cars clothes, yet you see some on the telly and they have a 50 inch telly ; sky , iPhones flash clothes and moan about state aid , yes not all are like this but surprisingly there’s quite a few. , heck I remember watching one interview she had a half pint in her hand!?
