George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Interim results are out 6th October, they will announce in that the interim dividend which could well be 4p.Also when the shares will go ex dividend which will be around 25th October, payment is usually mid December
Had a piece on why Tesco is a takeover target along with Sainsbury’s,. This week .( and the whole ftse 100 but they break it down and both retailers are in the top 10 on one of the graphs)
Tesco’s share price is down 44% compared to Sainsbury’s plus 12 over 5 years ( I need to look at the magazine to confirm ) so you would of thought there is some upside ,
Well I bought these back in nov at 117 looking to sell at 150 but never did , also never thought I’d see these hit £2 in a year either let alone 214! . I’ll hold on to these .as you can’t complain at that dividend payout either,
Tesco takeover target well its a nice thought £5 .. £4 seems a more likely price unless Morrison’s bid ends up at 295p
Well this has taken a beating the last week or so, luckily I’m still in profit just..
Added some more on EToro and
as one would hope£4 is the floor for this ( but this is micro go away a few days it could be 450 or 350!)
Well all is quiet.. maybe they are still running the numbers,
Myself hoping for a final 275 bid . As to also bear in mind when the pound gains strength against the dollar they will win again when they reflowt this back on the market or reap the dividends that will also be worth more due to the strength of the pound .
Well what ever they say take it with a pinch of salt.
Look at the Cadbury take over where they said they wouldn’t shut the factory In Birmingham, within a short space of time after the takeover they said were closing it down and moving operations to Europe .
Well new bid in at 254 , these should open at 260 now Monday , so will they counter offer 275? .
Also Amazon is yet to make a move on a ready to go enterprise that will fit them perfectly.
All to play for now next week as they run there numbers over this.
Now when buying a house do you put in a knockout offer or try a cheeky low ball bid , which could flush out other buyers . No you start low and work up until you haggle out a acceptable price,
They will know ( with sir Terry advising them what to do ) how much they can make what to bid before it’s not worth the process fees.
So with that in mind I’ve bought a slither of £1500 at 236 average on EToro with a stop loss at 232 heck I lose £50 if it falls but gain £500 if it hits 285. Which is my kinda target , but if it goes to 260 I’ll move my stop loss to 250 and I can’t lose .
We shall know in 2 weeks as that is the put up or shut up deadline
Great win for Leigh day and another step forward in the claim which will take years as Tesco drags there heels which means the bill gets bigger , I will sign more up to the claim 2 more last week as word spreads round the store I’m the man to see , surprised I haven’t been hauled before the boss,,
Oh I’m safe he never ever works past 9pm ! I took a short out on Tesco today only a small one mind ,
Sold my RR shares for basically what I paid needed the cash for summer ,,
Triple bag ! Be lucky to see 3p ! He he he ,
Really can’t see what will move this up , but I hold in hope they may just may get to 250 by summer
As a investor here its great to see this re awakening, I sold some of my holdings in Tesco to invest here around 130 didn’t quite catch it below £1
A master stroke to tie up with Ocado and an on line presence bigger than boo hoo should more than overcome there retail stores on the high street that just need re modelling into the 21st century
So now in the morning there is NO CHECKOUT OPERATOR on until 8 am
So after two mornings of hearing the complaints as I finish ( buying my paper)hearing and seeing frustration of customers with trolleys having to scan at basket self service I wonder how many complaints it will take to get a operator back .
Again the elderly have been sacrificed for a quick buck saved ,
Serving customers, serving the community isn’t that what they like to preach.
Tesco is not alone Morrison’s two evenings running have had only one operator on and again fed up customers.. “ I rattled off a complaint and email to them as well to sort themselves out”
I tipped these last year as a as to diversify away from Tesco. Whilst there dinosaur stores trundled along the tie up with Ocado is exciting , Also having to up their online presence due to the pandemic has paid off, interesting to note their on line presence is bigger than boo hoo.
So they made a 1st loss in history, how did the shares react , positively up over 5% .
Meanwhile, Tesco just trundles down the same tram lines zzzz
But that was on etouro £1750 then leveraged it by. x5 so it becomes £8750 with a daily fee of $2 .
So far so good ..
Exciting platform overall since February I’ve built up my funds once I was more confident how to use leverage etc and traded 300 times!
And my gain I hear you ask ? Currently breaking even .
You can check me out as Theeredbaron but don’t copy trade me for your own health !
So with the money I got ( after a week ) I bought them back them back at an average
226.47 .. I’m a genius . ;-)
A 1,000 at 223 ! The other day Yippee ,
No ones gone for the shift leader’s positions on dot com yet or the two positions on nights ,
Duties to include Rotas, organising staff when managers off and taking notes in meetings,
The extra pay £1 an hour , ! Criminal at least make it two, as such after being asked if I wanted the fresh position I turned it down pointing out after tax etc it’s about 75p an hour, and I’ll end staying to 7 every day so 2.5 hours a week more unpaid (£23) so it will work out about £10 for the privilege of being a skivvy . One of the night manners have left on nights to go to Morrison’s as he’s been run into the ground doing 10-7/8am so extra hours unpaid ,he’s gone to Morrison’s does 9-7 4 day week and is on more than he was on here! He’s not being replaced .
No ones taking the drivers shift lead positions as it’s the same scenario, and now they are starting to churn through drivers as they only pay £9.99. DPD warehouse down the road pay £11 I wonder where they are going!
And now they want to strip 220 hours off the tills asking them to take another job less hours or here’s your 4 week notice, temps, flexible contracts but not lovely ladies that have been there 20 years on the old contracts that’s not right is it even legal?
I did see USDAw taking a stand for some warehouse workers on the rehiring and rehire you for less,
So on that thesis alone staff costs are plummeting ! It’s a raging buy for me!
Well done playtech the come back to £5 is almost complete m
Wow did not think it would be back here at 130 level almost so soon ..
£1 by Friday ? Sadly you couldn’t rule it out .
You couldn’t rule it out back to £2 either , alas the decision to buy or sit on the fence is entirely ones own !
Did anyone notice that this hasn’t been wholly paid off and still stands at £1 Billion!?
I wouldn’t say the director buys we’re mind blowing.
I guess we will have to wait now to Half year results to see where this is going .
Well I bought a little bit of Argo back (£500) and boy has that gone down the pan !
So Tesco is a great defense but not going to the moon or down the pan in a hurry.
Great results ,branching out into new areas this can only get better and better .
Phew saved my arxse with the wife as it’s her cash here .
