asos has done a fund raise but left MA out of preferential choice to buy into the raise, and MA is seeming now trying to build upto 10% in asos which would allow him to effectively block any outright bid from another company, possibly one who did have preferential choice in the funding round?

am i on the right lines with this? 😅

Sorry, before what deal is done? theres no deal on the table! its 6 month old news lol. tbh i wouldnt be surprised if the media got wind of this from shorters, who strangely reduced right before it got reported? sp shoots up on a rumour as speculation takes hold like it has done with this board, only to massively short it again and make money all the way back down. MA is another one, if he wanted to buy this he wouldnt mess around increasing his holding by a few %, hed either make a formal bid or increase to a majority position imo.

Like i said this morning 10% rise and slowly falls during the day when the city realise its pure rumours, seems i got it bob on too for once. until asos themselves formally acknowledge any takover talks people really need to temper thier expectations. Its a good business, youll likely do well lth from these prices but come back down to earth for a second

Itll go up maybe 10% at best then drop during the day. am i missing something here? the 1st article is quoting a bid from december, the rest is all pure speculation. IF there was talks (which theyve all basically said there is none currently) the directors wouldnt have been able to buy after the update - that alone should tell us there are no active talks. no doubt the rumour mill will create an uptick, id guess 10% but itll die down as the day goes on, unless somehow an rns adds some fuel to the fire but because of the previous point, I seriously wouldnt get your hopes up

It would be great if it was indeed the end of the short attack, personally, im a lth of boohoo and the shorts done the exact same thing there a few months ago, heavily reduced thier shorts only to decimate the sp again once it started going back up and its been a yoyo since. granted they arent the same company so it may be different here but dont get your hopes up until the sp goes back up a bit and steadies. gla

totally legit review, from a blogging address looking at the url. ofcourse bol are going to compare the year results to 2020’s you cant be that thick to see why they would do that?? just in case you are that thick, there was a global pandemic which meant ALL online retailers numbers got inflated, if you compare today with april 2020 you are going to see skew. imagine comparing wetherspoons sales in april 2020 with april 2023, youd think DAMN loom how much thier sales have exploded!! invest invest invest!! but compare april 2023 with january 2020 and youd probably see a better picture.
